I was playing online with some Japanese guys playing the Infection scenario. That's where one person starts out as a zombie with a sword and if he kills you then you respawn as a zombie and you have to kill the remaining "living" people. Zombies can't drive anything and they can only have swords. The other living players can use anything normally. They set the zombie speed to 300% and gravity to 50% so you could haul ass and jump. On the larger maps, like the desert area, it worked really well. The living people spawn next to the vehicles which you have to get in to survive. The 300% speed makes the zombies just a hair slower than the vehicles so you can't just run them down but if you're driving you can't make any mistakes or lose any speed. We ended up having a Mad Max caravan of the living driving around in 3 vehilces with a horde of zombies chasing us through the outer ring of the desert on foot. If you attacked a vehicle at just the right angle you could get close up to the driver and slash him. It was fun as shit watching a hog slow up slightly for a turn and being able to run along side of him at full speed and try to kill. You can go up to the outer ridge and watch the action as zombies chased the vehicles, then jump down at the right time to catch the vehicle as it passes. I'm not sure if the physics setting was a standard option of if they guys chose it specifically themselves, but it's worth a play...
check out XxG1rXx bungie.net account (my friend who is staying with me ATM) and download our infection game type "Biohazard" and our Infection based map "Biohazard Beach". It's a hoot.
I played it last night with my bro, Russell, Nate, Jason Brace, and some friends from school. Where were you?? :110:
I'm waiting for my brother to come home from martial arts he doesn't know ih ave it i've got my iPod hooked up to a portable stereo from creative for laptops and i'm going to blast the Halo theme to surprise him:
haha, nice, nice. he'll freak out. i think my nostrils are picking up the scent of his jealousy... :icon_bigg
You're going to have to give some examples. I can't afford to buy that many games so I'd have to be convinced. What can you change/customize?
where vehcles spawn, where you spawn, where weapon spawns, how much ammo is in weapon at spawn, how long all those things spawn, you can add andmove scenery around maps, what weapons are on map, add vehicles on maps that dont have vehicles. change speed, gravity, sheilds, head shot immunity, infinite ammo, damage resistance, how good is the camoflauge, indestructable vehicles and more.
I rented Halo 3. It's a low average game to me. Honestly it's scoring very low in my book. It has a few moments that is rather neat, but ultimately it's a pretty horrifying failure. I'm glad I rented it. Within hours I was back on Gears of War.
I can agree to some extent. I had much more fun playing Goldeneye (And still do) than Halo 3. It does have its moments, but I find myself lost searching for opponents most of the time - and suddently bam. The weapons aren't my cup of tea either. Gears of War for me too.
Am I the only one who feels Gears is more graphics than gameplay? Compared to Epics other games, it just doesn't play as well.
I'd say I loved both, but a lot of Gears was graphics to me. I think the reason I loved Gears was because it reminded me of RE4. The problem with Gears though is that the online play is a little scewed. If your not host, you lag a teeny bit. Oh yeah. Plus the chainsaw thing. That sold the game to me, lol.
