I know Halo doesn't have too many fans on this forum but those that do... Which is your favorite? Personally, my favorite has to be the first one...the mutiplayer is perfect and so is the campaign. I made this last night...too bad it's never going to come out... (I didn't take the screen shot, just photoshopped it)
is there an "All of them option"? they all have their strengths and weaknesses. Halo: CE would win hands down if it had better networking and could support more than 4 xboxs.
If I had to pick one, no can't do it. Let me put it this way. 1) Online : Halo 2 no question it's how I populated my friends list and joined a clan. 2) Fun Factor : Halo 3 co-op on Legendary with 2 other guys I could barely remember how I knew them, mid afternoon of the launch day after playing the crap out it since midnight, sleeping, phoning in sick to work, heading to store for beer. I have not played a better co-op game EVER ! Despite that $#@$@# Cortana level.
I'd say Halo 3 :110: The single player and coop campaign is amazing. Multiplayer is really good too. Though Halo: CE is a great choice also, love the multiplayer maps.
Halo 3. It ties everything together gameplay wise and storywise. It's a ton of fun. I love Halo 1, but it's a bit outdated now. Not that it matters that it's old, but you probably get it.
@ Henners, i don't think you're going to get the results you want on this forum. no one here except maybe CRAZY plays Halo very seriously. as in competitively. just judging by the posts so far.
I just wanted to know on this forum, because when halo 3 came out EVERYONE here bashed the shit out of the first two. And Phrequency told me when 2 cameout, everyone on this forum bashed the shit out of the first one. I just wanted to know, out of the people on this forum (considering I occupy this forum more than anyother ones i'm a member of), that play halo. Which one did they like more?
I'm guilty of bashing it after I beat it and played it online a bit. However, in retrospect it isn't that bad....the storyline and ending was just a giant sized dissapointment. Online was fun until Christmas came along and it attracted all the idiots. I played through it again last September and it wasn't as bad as I remembered, it's just that the storyline and action picks up near the end and suddenly it's over. I did have a few fun LAN's with H2 though. I don't play shit competitively. I fucking hate MLG and all that shit, so idk if my opinion matters as much. That shit just annoys me.
To be honest the story never hooked me. However I'd give the nod to 3, as 1 was in development forever (it started as a RTS for the MAC) and well it was fun but ... 2 was in trouble and you get the sense it was rushed and watching the docs you KNOW it was rushed the mood changes drastically through the second half and you listen to a bunch of BS excuses. Not to mention that stupid Plant I mean WTF ! 3 at least redeemed itself in certain ways, the Coranta level was BS and the finale was retread of 1 but it WORKED. Forge is pretty damn cool too and the web integration was pretty cool with photos and game types
the thread title is halo fans. and the OP is asking fans. if you're not a fan, you can't vote. simply put. Yeah the story didn't hook me either. When I first saw Halo, my friends were playing the campaign. i was like "Meh". It wasn't until a year later, we played mutiplayer and I fell in love. I still haven't beaten number 2's campaign, i got bored. and I got bored with 3's. The first campaign started slow but once it got going, omg...it was amazing.
I love the storyline and campaigns. I love 3's ending. The second I got Halo 3 it was Heroic single player and it took me two days...which I thought was great. I don't think a shooter should last a huge amount of time, plus I've got multiplayer to play!
Hey, I did vote And well I like Halo 1. So take it easy, but still as a nonfan of a game. Then it doesn´t mean there couldn´t be an option for none of them, for the spectators of the thread. So take it easy, I am not the one who will bring the hammer down on Halo.
the poll is which is your favorite halo. Not "do you like halo". adding a fourth option would ruin which is the most popular of the trilogy on this forum.
XxHennersXx: Well I hadn't finished the game when I came back online and then the invs came in and damn it was better beating the game with two buds then by myself. Commentary during the game was awesome, all of us checking things, seeing what we could do etc... Best 6-7 hours of gaming I spent last year period.
I suck at Halo, I really do. I voted for the first though, because it really defined the XBOX as a console.
Halo1 was good but boring due to how repetitive the campaign was. Halo2 was overhyped. Halo3 was a good game overall, all the good stuff from the first 2 without all the crap.
