Ok so I just found out about how it appears Halo 2 was tossed together in short order (I thought it was a huge let down) and how the battle on earth (I forgot how hyped that got) never really happened. I found this thread http://assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2434&page=3&pp=20&highlight=halo+2003 GSL talks about "Forerunner technology" and that has recently come up again as the title for the next Halo game as a rumor. Anyone know anything more about this from the books or anything? It would appear we will be getting this great earth battle on the 360, in the form of a prequel. Does that at all fit into the Halo story? I think we were shafted with Halo 2 and most of the good stuff is being added to whats being called "Forerunner". Its been speculated that Halo 3 has been worked on even before 2 was done. Ok, so I've read that the Halo 2 2003 E3 demo was not running on Xbox hardware. What was it being run on? That demo is a holy grail and I know one of you guys here has more info on it, I'm not trying to get my hands on it or anything but its really piqued my intrest. What does anyone know about any of this?
The "Demo" was barely playable from what I remember, most of it was just staged features and scripted events I believe. Theres a lot of info on the e3 Demo on the LE Halo 2 dvd disk thing
