Nice first thing you did was pirate games. BTW if you want to post on the marketplace your one day spamming and bumping tons of old threads isn't going to help that.
I'm not spamming at all. I haven't been on this site for a long time, and decided to check it out since I was bored and couldn't sleep, so many of the posts looked pretty interesting.
Do you own a DC? They may be sub-par media players (there are divx, vcd and mp3 players etc. for it) but the arcade ports for the system are superb! I have 2 DC's right now, one in my cab and one in the living room.
Yes, I own a DC (Sega Sports DC - just because it is black), and like you, I use it in my arcade cabinet (I have a Jaleco Pony IV) for games like SF3, SF Alpha 3, Darkstalkers, Gigawing, and many other arcade ports. It's still my favorite arcade port system Just playing it back in the day with a VGA monitor (even though it was only 15") was pure bliss !!!
Not like most people could tell using CRT Tele's back in the day haha. I can tell now on some CRT's but most I can't. My brother still uses CRT exclusively and he doesn't notice either.
LCD's can't hold a candle to a good old CRT. Of course, depends also what kind of cables you use for your old school games. I refuse to old school game with anything less than RGB (for the systems that support it) if I have the choice. I have a 37" RGB/VGA monitor.
I bought one on European release. A bit less than ten years ago... gosh, I was a kid at the time, wasn't even in High School !
