The internal PSU is also on a separate PCB from the main board which reduces possible noise and interference.

I was just wondering about something: would a debug PlayStation make for a good CD player? I would think it might, since I believe most of them had RCA connections in the back just like the SCPH-100x. Seeing as how it's supposed to be very stable, it might also have better internal connections. I don't know, just thinking out loud here.

Don't do that with a debug unit. Just get a scph-1001 and fix it.

Mhm, 15 years already... Damn, PlayStation has played a major part of my life. :(:(

PlayStation, the best of it's time, then it was the PlayStation 2 and now the PlayStation 3.

    Let's hope for 15 more years :D

I'm not sure, I believe debug have the same motherboard as the SCPH-100x (based upon a picture my friend took of the Blue one at least). I know my motherboard is different from debug and retail and still has the RCA but I'm unsure if it's better or worse.

But yeah, just get a SCPH-1001.
