I ordered two mm 3ds just in case one got screwed up, probably scalp off the other. Still waiting on my mm limited edition to get posted, gutted in Australia only a few retailers were given a small handful of the statues for top customers.
Seconded. Yesterday when I was telling my wife how much they were going for now (she was initially fussy that I just bought one without consulting her, but I knew they'd be gone immediately) she asked me why I didn't just buy a bunch of them on the credit card to sell for profit. My response was, "Because I'm not an asshole."
I just see it as 'ruining a kid's happiness', so many are missing out on amiibos. Only because of big dick neckbeards thinking about dollar signs. Not only that, but there are equally stupid people supporting them by buying a product for triple the price.
Are they ever going to release the normal New 3DS in the US? If they did, I might actually consider getting one. I don't want an XL, though. It's too big for a "handheld", I think.
Unsure. I wouldn't be shocked if they don't at all. =/ On the bright side there is word that hackers might have found a way to pernamently change the region of a console including new 3DS units. If so I will be first in line for that.
I have a feeling they will eventually, maybe around Christmas this year at the earliest. I'd get it, because by then some exclusives will have come out and the original 3DS (which is just about the same size as the new one) is just the perfect size to fit in a coat pocket.
I facilitate about 3 large-scale big buyers at my work. They operate in what I would call a "civilized" manner, meaning they don't spike prices, subvert customers, etc. You can be a small-scale reseller, or just a once-and-a-while reseller, without "scalping" people. You can turn a modest, ethical profit for your ability to reach others when they possibly hadn't the chance to receive an item at the initial time of selling for whatever reason. What's the reason for being that shady creep with a large trench coat in front of the stadium that NOBODY likes? Also, I'm curious what responses were intended to be elicited from this comment. You know you're at a forum consisting of people immensely passionate about all things video games. Do you really think the majority of us, or any of us for that matter, would promote this mindset, let alone condone it?
I ended up buying a standard 3DS right before they announced New 3DS... It's a shame that Nintendo isn't bringing the standard New 3DS state-side. I love the XL screen, but I like portables to be portable, and unfortunately XL's are too big for most pockets.
Mine does that. But then, my original (launch) 3DS and the 3DS I got to replace it had that "issue" as well, so I just thought it was normal.
I've not had a non-XL, so I'm not sure about those. Both my XL systems were fine, though. My friend unboxed his regular New 3DS XL today and tells me it has the wobble. They all do the nod, though! I used to think that was a bit annoying, but it's nothing compared to this! lol
I think mine does that too, and it's just a regular old 3DS, I know it is a bit floppy. Hopefully *crosses fingers* there's a bunch of them on a tanker off the coast right now. The Sonic amiibo hasn't been available anywhere yet.
[off-topic] So....... Anyone wanna sell their Old 3DS XL to me? I'm still rocking this Classic Pink 3DS........ I kinda wanna upgrade to a bigger screen. >.< Firmware 9.2 or lower plz [/off-topic] But as to not too divert the discussion right now....... Currently there is a way to change the region of a 3DS, but it's almost not worth it (NAND modification means bricked if done wrong.) . Online Nintendo serivces also has a check to verify if you a, say a US 3DS Console trying to access another region's E-Shop. The procedure is similar on how to modify a 3DS to allow a flashcard that has been blocked by a firmware update. The best way to have region-free is to sadly use a Flashcard like Sky3DS. And modifying the ROM to be region free I think.
It's rather ironic that it's eaiser to run a pirated version of a game than a legitimate game from a different region. Wait, not ironic, the other one. Ah yes, stupid.
