Basically, there are rumors going around on the intetnet that Circuit City lowered the price on quite a few games a bit early from a "July 2nd" sale that is said to take place. In a nutshell, quite a few games from every console besides the 360 are supposed to be $8.96 (I can post the entire list, if anyone is interested). Several people have claimed that they were able to get several of the games on the list for $8.96, and posted scans of their reciepts. Has anyone actualy tried this yet?
I tried it and did it. I got 7 DS games. Nothing Spectacular...and a few really shitty ones...oh...and 2 GBA games. So, the sale does exist. But there weren't any of the games that I really wanted: Metroid Prime Pinball, Advance Wars DS & the two Pac Man games. Bummer. I imagine most stores will be cleared out by now. People were just buying them to resell. Which sort of pissed me off, as I was buying ones I wanted to play. Bummer. Summation: Sale does exist, but unless you want some of the worst games (King Kong) don't bother now.

I wish sales like that happened here... :crying: Just for comparison, a GH of Gran Turismo 3 (an already old game) is sold for 40 bucks here. h:
I was in DC looking for an apartment last week and stopped by a tiny "Circuit City Express" in the Pentagon City mall. I got a copy of Final Fantasy IV Advance on sale. Apparently this game is YMMV because some Circuit City stores are selling it for $19.99 while others are selling it for $8.96. Now that I'm back home I'm going to check out my local Circuit City tomorrow. On a side note, some stores have started pulling the sale games off the shelf and will be putting them back out when the sale officially starts on July 2nd.
Went to 2 different Circuit city and all they got was things like killzone for 79.99 and Mgs3: Snake Eater for 59.99. I guess its in the US only... :crying: I`d take Halo Triple Pack, Metal Slug 4 & 5, SSX On Tour, Polarium, Advance Wars, Matrix Path Of Neo, Final Fantasy Dawn Of Souls (1/2) and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance without any hesitation. EDIT: Wait, Circuit City is named La Source in canada/quebec, right??
Circuit City, which has several stores in the toronto area, bought out the canadian addtion of Radio Shack, and renamed them "The Source By Circuit City" However, that being said, there seemed to be a clause in the contract, and Radio Shack Canada was able to retain its branding. Cahaz, I assume this covers Quebec as well, though, EB Games Canada(Sorry, Canadians only) Is having a game of the day sale, until the mid of july, where each day, 2 titles are 9.89 each... I was able to go during lunch last friday and again last night (at a different location) and picked up the following: Crimson Skies - Non Platinum(XBX), Trace Memory (DS), Ultimate Spider-man (DS), Meteos (DS) and Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers (DS). My friends picked up Metroid Prime Pinball (DS), Polarium (DS), and Metal Slug 4 & 5 (XBX). They didn't have much else.
