I bought from a small online store that closed some time ago. Sure, you can still easily find them on ebay, theres some sellers selling the figure alone if you just want that XD
I've bought a few games based more on the cover art and wanting the art in my collection moreso than me actually wanting to play the game. I do tend to play the games and enjoy them though. Here's one where the cover art was instrumental in me purchasing.
How accurate to the arcade is the DC port? Don't think I'll ever get the MVS version as it goes for crazy amounts. Tangentially related: I just ordered Metal Slug for MVS.
^I've never played the MVS/neogeo version. The characters have a lot of animation though. it's a very smooth game and loading times are almost nonexistent (much fewer and shorter than Last Blade 2 DC version). Plus it's got the option to use an arranged soundtrack which has some good renditions of the neogeo tunes.
We dont see that kind of art in anime either, now it's all CG with the same generic parts taken from the same PSD folder:banghead: BTW, has anyone noticed that every year anime girls get bigger tits? Years ago most were flat by today standards, but today even 12-yr old girls have bigass 36DD tits, the only difference being loli shit, but then the 12-yr old girl looks like she's 5 Same with art in general: I get dragged to galleries from now and then and lately shit just got so bad it's really bad, no longer so-bad-is-good, but vomit-inducing-bad, all the same poorly painted papier mache stuff hanging from wires and the usual pollock ripoff from a dumb hipster that doesnt realizes that was edgy before his parents were born... This sure is the age of uninspired
I think its more the age of mass marketing, you can make any shit, but if you can shove it enough in the midia, people think its hot and will swallow it. XP Funny seeing games like Heavy Rain getting alot of ballsuck, when these graphic novels types had no interest from anyone besides Japaneses some years ago. Now we are in the "look at those graphics era" and theres no come back sadly. We will sortly become like our grampas:" In my time games where good, not this crap you play today" XD EDIT: dont mind the grammar, Im half asleep
Holy shit! That "Down Load" artwork... if I were to see ANYTHING with that cover, I'd buy it immediately. Hell, I wish I had the image in a huge resolution to print it out, poster size, and frame it for my retro room.
Being Caled "Down load" and released for the "PC" Engine, makes it very hard to find what you really intend to on google...
the pal version, not this one... I took the cart in hands, read the back look at the pics behind and felt a certain something. That way i got one of the best game ever. What is fun is that i was an avid console magaizine reader somehow but missed all the related reviews...
