It's wankers with fucked up minds like him that give movies and games a bad name. For f'cks sake, I've played thousands of games that kill people but have never had the urge to go out and do it. Those type of nut cases have a screw lose in the first place.

This kind of shit makes me so mad. I can't stand it when they say, "Games like DOOM, Mortal Kombat, and Night Trap make you kill people". It's so damn gay. People just want to find a scapegoat, and it seems that video games are the best target. Sure, blame it on video games and ruin it for everyone, you really don't need to take responsibility for your mistakes and poor judgement. All I have to say about that is Damn Them To Hell. The people that blame video games need to stop pointing fingers and start taking responsibility for their actions. It only takes one crazy to ruin it for all of the sane people, and the people that believe games are evil, and that games make you kill are full of shit. I hate them. Oh yes, look at that poor crazy killer, he played too much DOOM and he had to kill, it was inevitable. Well i got news for you, I have been playing DOOM, Mortal Kombat, and many more violent games for years and I have not killed anyone yet. :smt011

Well first Manhunt is a very disturbing game, and although i totally disagree that the game is the one to blame by this crime, it should not be being played by a 17 year old kid.

If i'm not mistaken, it got M rating in US, plus a large warning on the cover. I would suggest a 19+ for it.

Anyway, it's easy to blame the game instead of bad education by the parents, and so on. :butthead:

i'm in favour of R rating or whatever you call it for gaming as well. after all movie industry has R rating as well as X so why not for game? Game is for kids is misconception often used by politicians and I'd like ask those idiots whether they even thought about what had been written for them to read before go out and open their mouse...

IMHO it's the parents who should take responsibility when their kids gone bad. it's their duty and responsibility and if they cannot fulfil that they shouldn't have kids... probably some kind of licence might be an order for those poor parents before they have kids...

i know this sounds extreme but I'm afraid the day when these will be reality won't be that far off...

Heard this all before, if its not games its TV, I remember when the Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were going to be banned on the TV because "they made kids fight more" Parents were genuinly worried their kids would learn "Ninja death grips" from watching a cartoon/puppet.

Manhunt is just boring after a few minutes of playing.If you aren't already pretty mentally fucked up you wouldn't do things like that no matter what kind of brutal game you've played.The world can't always protect retarded people from their own stupidity,but there's always somebody else needed to put the blame on

1- everyone know that this game is a 17+ game , why do he have it? he is just a kid , he can't pay 50 buck for a game, is mother certainly buy it , not him

2-game shouldn't be blamed when little kid play with games that they shouldn't be allowed to.

3-if parents are responsable of education, not video games.

4- its true that some games are going too far...and here , i don't talk about night trap , mortal combat , max payne , doom or anything else.
i don't remember the exact title of that game , i just know its a one. its a first person shooter, you need to kill people in town to hearn points you can take a cisor, dismember everybody , blowing up head, if you kill black people then your hearn bonuses..... that just discusting smt011 . no story here, just kill inocent people , but then , again , this game isn't for everyone! you can't buy it at shop or something else, you comand it on the web....

'Bout to say the same thing... It could possibly be Postal 2, but I never saw anything about bonuses for killing African Americans. Postal 2 did contain some awful "arcade" games such as "Fag Hunter". Postal 2 is probably the most hateful and distasteful game I've ever had the displeasure of playing.

 

The way I see it is that if these games ever were as bad as the media claims they are....then only people that already have mental issues would want to play them.

Stories like this really piss me off. People need to learn to take personal responsibilty and not blaim it on the first thing they can.
