*SOLVED* Changed Pokemon Battery, Nothing Changed

I changed the battery in my pokemon emerald version yesterday, and I no longer receive the dry battery message, which is good. The clock in my players house moves now so that's proof that the battery is working. However, clock based things still won't work. Berries won't grow, I can't get lotto tickets etc.

Does anyone know some way to fix this (without starting a new game)? I have the utilities to rip the rom and the save if there's something I can do with that. I can also send links to the save if that'd help.

    Link to save file: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/7ukqzjmq6qpiy/Pokemon_Emerald
there may or may not be the rip of the ROM in the folder too >.>

Edit: here's some other people having the same issue: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w..._a_patched_game_with_a_newly-replaced_battery

Try loading your save on an emulator that supports the clock features to see if it's the save that might have gotten corrupt somehow.

How would I test that? Plant a berry in the emulator and wait a day? Because time passes when the game is on, but I'd have to wait a very long time.

EDIT: Added link to save file in first post for anyone who wants to help ;)

My theory is this is because the RTC reference value that was written into the save file is now greater than the value your RTC chip currently holds due to its reset.
The very same problem happened if you used your original cart's savegame file on an emulator once and then put it back onto the original cart it came from.
