Our AssemblerGames @Teddy Rogers has tested the N64 Emu in an overclocked Dreamcast (240 MHZ) The results are not so much different. Watch in 6 min.

 

interesting. does this mean that its not hardware limitations causing the poor performance, but horribly optimized code?

surely there should've been some noticeable performance increase, unless the code is just a huge mess. but i'm by no means an expert

 

I believe you're right, I thought it was a CPU limitation, but now we can see it's not. I think with more optimization we can get a better performance.
