Thanks for all of the suggestions. In the end I decided on Pixel Panic, might sound lame but I like it. Been working like mad on this game recently. Hoping to submit it to iTunes at the end of next week. Screens and links will follow. WIP Screenshot (excuse the fact that the player isn't sitting on the floor properly, I added spacing in my tileset by accident). I'm not as close to finishing as I said due to being side tracked with a few other projects:
I like this one but, if you havent released it yet here are a few others: In Retro iRetro Lucid Dream Dream State Dream Stage Dream Gate
Rethink that one: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en...urce=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=Up4jUZPyLoa5hAe04IHgCw
Weird. I did plenty of searching to see if I could find a game on the iOS and Mac App Store with the same name. Nothing came back. And yet there it is, Pixel Panic, released July 2012. Oh well oddly enough there's no rule in the App Store to having two apps of the same name. The fact that I've now gone to Kickstarter with the game (shameful plug - see sig) means it's a little too late but I can always do a change before release I guess.
If anyone happened to be wondering where this all went. I decided that the content and style was crap. So I've spent the last 48 hours putting together this. All of my menus and entities are ready, now I just need to put the levels together (my tilesets and body are ready) and it'll be good to go. It'll likely take some time as level making takes forever and a day and it's hard to come up with good ideas. It doesn't help that I'm seriously poor and short of time right now too. Anyway quick video of new design and intro, no gameplay footage yet, will upload some as soon as I can. I'm super proud of the things present in this quick video. Playing video on start up in a Mac app using cocos2d is pretty much completely undocumented and it took six hours of mind bending coding to get the damn thing to work. Secondly I had to pretty much rewrite the whole app delegate in order to get fullscreen to work in an openGLview without using a viewController provided by Apple's SDK (which wouldn't work with cocos2d). EDIT: I'm well aware of the name but I thought it might be a good way of getting a few views from misguided appstore users without breaking any laws. (FireFox browser is all one word).
