Hello, I bought a great condition PSP from Craigslist, and the only thing wrong is that the DC-In port wont charge the battery. The problem is not actually the port. I'll put a pic of how far I've traced the electricity. The arrow shows the farthest point I've found the electricity. I have also checked the battery terminal and that point gets no signal.

i dont think theres a fuse, if you havent yet you could solder a 5v wire to the motherboard and see if thats charging it. i can only think the thing has a bad connector

Please if you don't know what about you are talking don't write this bullshits...
There's a main fuse for charger as LINKED by sp193, tips like you posted are useless, because if the charger is shorted, and it burned the fuse, bypassing the fuse you can say goodbye to the psp.
The fuse there's for a reason!

Sure it does, it stops people doing something really stupid.

Saving peoples hardware from bad advice is pretty helpful IMO.

    Please stop arguing! :p

So just to be 100% sure, when it says to bridge the fuse, it just means to bypass it correct? As in if theres the fuse with solder on either side, basically connect the solder points?

    Don't Bridge a fuse.

Test if it's gone with a multimeter and replace if it has

Do what bad_ad says :) Just test the fus, if there is continuity then thats not the problem.

Do you have a charged battery? If so thrown one in and see if it powers on. I doubt you have a lab power supply to test but..
