Because JVS is not USB, as such, it also does NOT have a 5v power line on its pinout in order to power the IO board.
also, driving games are NOT all the same- you will have very little luck interfacing a model 3 driving setup to a jvs io short of complete rewiring, and even then, every game acts differently.

You may want to read this and other paperwork to understand the issues:
    http://neo.dyndns.tv/technical/linbergh_driving-games_testing_&_info/#steering

Driving games are one of the HARDEST to "universalize".. you're better off either tracking down the correct components for each game, or starting from scratch.

Hope you have a small fortune ready to buy all of that.

The various JVS boards have a power input connector so you'll need to wire to that.

I use an off the shelf ATX 500W PSU and it works fine.

aha, so you're actually using USB HID drivers injected into the system to bypass the need for the jvs port, and instead use the motherboard USB ports- gotcha.

Pointless to even bring this up unless you intend to release it.

Boomslangnz, get an ATX power supply. Way easier.

    Yes and Yes.
ATX Power-Supply will work, just make sure it provides enough power and has the 24 Pins.

The "OS" Jackalus talked about will hit the market at some point - but it's hard to give estimates when it will be ready. There will be an announcement once the final product is ready.
But I can assure you that it will provide you with numerous useful features which are great for home-users and even beyond that.

Yes, if your games still lag and ATX PSU is at least 450W. Connect the power directly from PSU -> GPU. Happened with 3 lindies for me.

Hi i was wondering if the OS will allow me to play games on my normal 6 button control pannel. Games like racing games and shooters? regarding shooters i saw someone post a video using their mice, so in theory could aimtraks be used? Basically can the games which need special hardware for controls will work without them?

Is there anyway someone like me can participate in testing the os early lol maybe some moneyz for donation?

Official lindbergh OS doesn't support this card. Our OS supports 100%, recommended: 7600 GT, 7800 GS, 7900 GS, 7950 GS (7600 GS is too slow).

    ATI is not supported.

    Hmm.

Firstly I will reply to the guy wanting parts. I've been away since Thursday with my family as its half term, also I get a lot of emails asking - how does this work, do you do this. I take about 1-2 hours out of my day to respond to emails/pm's.

Secondly why/how is hacking the Lindbergh so open (moderators!?). For the record Sega do monitor activity, I should know ;-)

Thirdly I have a conversation with Nicolas(jackalus) where he clearly told me isn't selling hacks. If anybody knows differently let me know. I am at a stage where this stuff no longer amuses me and I've had enough grief.
