I love your collection and am very jelous , just started collecting xbox games but doubt i will ever find one of those lovely dev console or mountain dew version. have you spotted these on ebay debating to get some so i can tidy up the boxes on my games but am sceptical on if these are official or just repro boxes http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371005830182?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Issue with XBOX case is, different publishers used different brand cases. Some even have different booklet holders depending on how thick the booklet is, or if it came with a poster etc. So buying replacement cases isn't that simple. Now not everyone will know the different, just eagle eye collectors like myself that it bothers. Some personally don't care, so it's all down to preference. The one you linked is an official brand but were used loosely. I know that STOLEN used this case, but I don't own a complete set to tell you what other publishers used them. Thanks bud, I was very surprised when I attempted this. While looking through the folders I noticed all missions were there including all the cars. I was able to complete Mei and Madoka's missions and unlock other cars also along with saving and loading profiles. Only thing that's different between them is the save folder has a different number. So yeah, very weird. Double-STEAL retail has the demo files on the disc too, what was Bunkasha doing?
Yeah I'm not too familiar with the Double Steal games but than again I didn't really peek around it much. Seeing as this one was their first game, I suppose they have some room for errors like this. This is a fantastic set though, how much did you pay for it? Some of those I haven't even seen before like the new years 2005 or Blinx Demo. It's hard to track down some of the Japanese xbox stuff because their isn't much info out there. It'd be cool to get some of these into the xbox xtras.
Well I missed out on another bundle which had over 100 dvds, so sadly we'll never know the contents till another day. I paid for the lot (in total 17) $8 with a fuckload of shipping costs but I might handball the duplicates to members here in the future Oh and I'll end up dumping the discs, the 2002 disc has a nice Panzer Dragoon trailer I think many will like the trailers on that disc.
Nice, glad you picked it up Hex. Think you could take a photo of it on one of the consoles that doesn't have the green logo plate for me? Curious to see how it blends with the other models/shells.
Awesome. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing it. That and I have to say the Crystal ones are my favorite. .... I feel like a bloody magpie being attracted to shiny things. >_<;
Darn, its been a while since your last full collection video. You've gotten lots of stuff during that time.... would make for a very very very long video hahaha.
Yep, it probably takes around 20-30 minutes just take everything out. I've moved a lot of stuff around lately and just couldn't be bothered to take the games or controllers out. Will have to wait till I buy some furniture. The metal case is a rental Xbox, not sure if they are official or not. Something tells me some 3rd party place or video rental store's head office made them up. It's well made though.
i recently saw one of these metal case xbox's in the market, but they guy wanted £60 for it :S and kept saying it was a limited edition xbox 360 lol hopefully its not some rare thing, it did kind of look too well made to be a third part thing though, but with no idea on the status on it i wasn't going to be dropping £60 on a xbox in a pretty box is it a crystal xbox inside by any chance?
Yeah, I've seen people ask $100+ for these... Picked mine up for $35 Info can be found here about it, little to none though. http://xboxarchive.co.uk/doku.php?id=microsoft_equipment:rental
Got this beast earlier in the week, and yes. The box really is THAT big. It's packed similar to a Wii box with two layers of packaging. It has a standard retail launch Xbox box, with an insert box for the DVD Kit and Halo. Sadly the DVD Kit was opened and packaging was thrown out, trying to track down a fatpak of the DVD Kit.. If anyone has one let me know please Also came with a thank you note, which is weird... This pack retailed for AU$399, and sold across 700 stores Australia/NZ wide. Marketing speech:
