Why would they sell a fake and think they would get away with it?

 

samcro, I don't know why you think if it gets removed from eBay that you're screwed. You can still sell it on here or in private. Provided you at the very least give a screenshot of the titlescreen and hold a piece of paper with your username in front of it. I think that'd be some pretty good proof, and it's simple enough, right? You can just quickly run it on your DC with Bleem and do it right now.

Really, it'd calm things down and wouldn't do any harm.

 

Don't mean to add a double post, but anyone got this image of this other disc that had swirling text? Can't find it on Google, and I'm curious what it said.

I think you misread, I was quoting a post about another disc before this current auction ever existed that also had swirling text. That's what I'm looking for

Hm very interesting to say the least. I'm from Australia myself so if i did bid on it, it could come early to me to test out. But seeing the bid is finished tomorrow, not convinced enough to make the bid yet.

Does there exist a single pic of any 1.5 discs out there? Finding that other disc that supposedly also has swirling text is hard enough, but I cant find one single pic. I thought there were confirmed copies, including one that some guy was selling that eventually was sold to that PSM guy? Isn't there even a pic of that disc?

 

If 'getting away' with it is defined by receiving the money and never refunding it / getting prosecuted by the law, then lots of people have got away with it and will continue to, being stringent is your only safeguard.
