We all presumed the point in being here (aside from identifying which version of the game you had) from your point of view was to drum up attention for your auction listing and in turn increase the finishing price, as i'm sure you might have noticed many of the members her (myself included) have spent considerable amounts of money on this kind of thing and are far from wishfull unemployed teenagers, it's in your best interest financially to respect that.

The only reason why you've been 'blasted' is Biohazard 1.5 is a rare game, with several people in the past who've made false claims of ownership, this had led to a skeptical mindframe that one grainy picture will not relieve of.

Very true, but being rude to the guy isn't going to get us more proof.

The picture doesn't look fake. We have determined that it IS fake, because its a frame from goromacida's video, and it is likely goromacida himself.

In my interpretation, this would also make this thread against the site rules!

Calm down. Don't go reporting anything whoever buys it will figure out the truth.

Why are you defending him so much? Why do you want him to make money in order for us to determine whether its fake? You both have less than 50 posts and registered this month...

*pulls off ShipDeckSurvivor's, mask scooby doo style* SAMCRO!

He would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you meddling forum posters.

Basically, the Japanese on the disc WAS NOT written by a native speaker, the screen image is awful, so much so I made a far better one in 5 minutes using the Trial Version title screen of Bio Hazard 2. It's fake, no doubt about it. Many of us have been in this scene for a very long time and can spot a fake right away. Like I said, I knew it was a fake from the very first post. Excuse after excuse followed by poor images. Same thing with that first copy of Dreamcast Giest Force. I had my doubts about that early on. Too much bull shit. Yeah, it was elaborate bull shit but bull shit none the less. Also, all the so called inside Sega info posted by the guy was stuff I already knew and I've never been an employee of Sega.

    Reported it to eBay.

Anyone, ANYONE who thinks this is genuine needs to seek medical attention immediately!

Yes, the crappy Japanese attempt seems enough to give away that this is fake. But I'm always willing to believe anything as long as the seller is cooperative with posting pictures. It's a shame he's going to leave it at that one image which I also thought looked like it was a grab from a low quality video. Seriously, what is with people that can't handle the pressure and get upset and leave? You should know full well what you're walking into before posting, expect skepticism :/ It's too bad my innocent questions asking about his rig were met with that response, something this controversial it's only natural someone try to do a little background checking on the seller if at all possible...

If he's just gonna leave like this then there's no reason not to think he's a troll, I hope he realizes this, because if there really is a real prototype here(hey, you never know no matter how convinced you are, right?), this is an opportunity blown. I may appear to need medical attention immediately for saying such, but regardless of how dumb it may look, I have nothing to lose in hoping he might still have something and this is all just a huge misunderstanding. :x

It's called good old fashioned common sense and having a conscience.

Someone will get horribly burned by this if they end up buying it.

It's better the auction is removed and the seller tries again with more proof. Or he could set up a private auction here or elsewhere. An established member of this site would be more than happy to act as an escrow and/or help him recover the data so it can be shown as undoubtable evidence.

If the seller has done any reading about how sought after this item is, he'd get a bank loan to pay for suitable equipment to ensure it's sold fairly and correctly.

I am of course wasting my virtual breath because we all know that this is just another yearly attempt to con somebody.

I'm probably not the only person who has reported this item. If it gets removed then it's no threat to the seller as it's a brand new eBay account, if it doesn't then at least the poor fucker who buys it has a few eBay reports on his side if it comes down to a dispute.

The big give away is not the lack of proof. It's the urgency of the sale and the sudden influx of new members pushing it on. Classic signs of a con. You get it out there, market it and sell it as fast as possible before too much skeptical heat builds on forums for people to stop bidding.

If I had this game for example and I really had no way to share screens of it at this present time, I'd hold on to it to make sure the sale was fully trusted....why? Profit, you'd get more people interested if they knew exactly what they were getting.

I still think there should be some kind of provision in the rules regarding this scenario.

No normal adult gets flustered by skepticism on the internet, and says "oh well" to a potential multi-thousand dollar sale because 5 people don't believe his grainy picture.

If you claim to have something that others want, and post a thread with the expressed purpose of informing people that you have it, and you fail to provide proof, why shouldn't you be banned? Give the user 72 hours to provide ample proof, and then lay the hammer on them. 72 hours is sufficient to hit the "PrintScreen" button, and the ctrl+v in MSPaint.

Afraid of being banned? Then don't claim you have something which you are not prepared to prove that you own.

It is worth noting that a scenario where a user posts such a topic, but informs us that the disc is scratched and/or unplayable are fine, but only if they are actively trying to recover the data. Posting a thread and saying "i have this incredible beta but its broken, and i cared enough to post this thread but not enough to fix it. seeya" is a dumb thread anyways.

It'll likely be taken down before it ends.
