slightly off topic but does anyone know what screen was being used in Back to the Future 2 when Marty visits his future home? They have a MASSIVE flat screen TV on the wall. It is much bigger than the standard 50 inch we have now. Was that a HD screen or standard deff plasma? Yakumo
Assembler, where'd you get the video? Curious since it doesn't just look scaled to 1080P. What was the original source material?
A good question there. May be one very early big plasma screen TV proto? The net doesn't let me find much infos aout that. Eitherway, thats for sure one thing BttF was very right about how our TVs will be in 2015. And looking into the present market, the reality was even faster than the prediction. Also genius, the prediction of 4:3 ratio will be dumped and completely replaced with widescreen format.
Nothing shows up on IMDb, but I swore something was mentioned in the making-of documentary about who provided it.
Seemed to also get featured on Game Set Watch, but it's most of the same coverage as Kotaku. http://www.gamesetwatch.com/2011/05/hiten_bomberman_hudson_did_hd.php I really like their controller multitap with the little Bombermen at the 28 second mark; I'd only ever seen the "angry Bomberman face" multitap from the SNES.
And here's a screenshot: I always thought this was a projector, not an actual screen!? I might have a look into the DVD tonight, maybe there's a hint.
Wow! I cannot believe they read my thread, i'm tickled. Thanks goes to Assembler too for posting the video.
I doubt kotaku "reads" AG forums, they probably wouldn't be into the more technical stuff considering their pop focus. I m inclined to believe that someone who did read this tipped them off.
I don't doubt it. Kotaku reads all shit in the internet, and we are far far away from that. So why not reading it?
someone probably found the video on youtube and linked it to them, i doubt they came close to the forums at any time
But then it must be projected from behind. And Marty is quite moving the screen around. Tricky thing.
