You mean that very small demo where you just run around a tiny field with nothing to do?

That doesn't count at all to me. What a huge disappointment. But like I said, if a lot of the info on the net now for Sonic X-treme is true, the Saturn one never got as far in development as the PC version. It'd still be nice to find the version that you see in a video out there of Sonic in the Jade Gully level. Looked like very preliminary physics but it seemed to be the Saturn version nonetheless.

There was a show called "The Anti-Gravity Room" years ago on the Sci-fi network in the US and YTV in Canada. There was an episdoe where one of the hosts went to Sega to play some of the new games coming out. I remember watching him play the boss fight between Sonic and MetalSonic on what looked like a real Saturn. (Sigh). I was so excited that day.

The Sonic X-treme boss fight does exist and does run on a stock Saturn.

Much like the "Green Hill Zone" disc however, that boss fight is all that was on its disc.

Basically, there are two Sonic X-treme Saturn discs that are playable. One has been leaked. The other (which you reference in your post) has not.

The problem with X-treme is that we won't find many discs with builds in them and that's because back then recording discs was a pain in the ass and the developers rarely used that method to transfer files, they mainly used a cable and transferred data through it.
I think that the above sentece is bull, how in the world can you how many sonic x-treme saturn discs are there?Except if you mean discs that are known to exist(with proof).

Sonic X-treme on the Saturn was probably much further in development than the PC Version, remember they had 2 different engines going on,one for boss battles and another one for the rest of the game. Now if you compare all the screenshots you'll see differences in the HUD and other stuff.
Thing is we don't exactly how the Saturn version played, where as we've got quite a few videos of gameplay from the PC version.

    Who knows...

I know simply because I played both versions. Both ran on a stock Saturn using the system disc.

You can call bull if you want, I've got nothing to prove. But if you bother to check my post history, you'll note that I don't make things up.

hl718 is not your avarage Joe. If you read all of his posts you'll see that he knows quite a bit about stuff we only hear rumors about.

It's ok dude,I know your history in here and I respect you quite a bit.Maybe my definition was a bit harsh, what I really wanted to say is that you cannot possibly how many Sonic X-treme prototypes there are out there,so I figured out you meant those we actually are certain that exist.
Anyway was the boss engine any good? Was it the one that they showcased in E3 where you could run around an emerald?

In that Sonic Xtreme beat that was released here you can see the circled floor that was used in the boss battle and a ring collecting spiral under the blue background if you jump up high enough. makes me think that they were both the same engine.

I'm really wondering what it is. It must be quite something if people donating will have to do it blindly. Who knows, we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Or they just don't want to say what it is in case someone else dumps a version first :)

    Who knows, exciting times.

I was thinking more it's a god awful game that if they did tell people what it was then people would think twice about donating.

That too I suppose. But given they were upfront on Lobo (and you can't get much worse) that's a little harsh. Or just typical you ;) (and me!)

Did you message drx about the refund? Or tell him to use that money towards this? I got my refund about a week after all that stuff happened.
