Hidden Palace & SEGASaturno: Sega Saturn, surprise game

Haha, yeah, while I didn't do my part in donating anything, I'd still think with all the money given that everyone should at least know what the game is by now.

 

To tell the truth I think it stinks the way the target was met over a week ago and they still haven't had the decency to even say what the game is. Sure, getting a download ready may take a little time (not 1 week mind you) but just typing the game's title takes no time at all. They at least owe it to those who donated.

Werewolf was my guess, also. If not then my second guess would be Major Damage.

It will not (thankfully) be Fox Hunt. The Saturn prototype they are releasing is a game which never saw release on ANY system. That is what is stated at Hidden Palace, anyway.

 

No offense, but if you're going to have people donate for a release, then the game should be ready to go. You should only have to post the link after payment is met. All this delay does is make people think twice about donating the next time.

 

We might never of had the chance to try the beta if Hidden Palace and SEGASaturno hadn't paid for it themselves originally.

It's a busy time of year and waiting a second after donating or a month doesn't matter. Stop moaning at the people that made this possible. Just enjoy the beta when it is released.

 

Ah yes, you're right. That also rules out Buster Bros Collection. Well, I rule out Biohazard 1.5 or 2 so that leaves us with Major Damage.

 

If the game was being released for free, then I would see your point. But once you have accepted $550, I think that brings with it a little more responsibility.

Which would be odd as when I tried to sell a Major Damage proto a few months back I was turned down by a few collectors who all told me that they weren't interested because the game had been dumped.

Given that I'd expect it is something else.

Well there's one way to figure that out hl718. Does Major Damage have an intro with the Capcom logo that looks like the one in the screenshot they posted on the SegaSaturno website?

Finally released.

I am sorry for the delay, it was ready to be released, as all my releases usually are and I was going to do it on Tuesday, but last minute I noticed an issue with the file so I had to redump it. As it happened, this week was one of the busiest of the whole year for me so I couldn't really pay attention to it much and I didn't want to half-ass it, really.

I haven't been following this thread on Assembler, I would have replied to your concerns guys sooner.

I do this in my free time, which on busy weeks can only be weekends, sorry.

Now I think this is a bit unfair. Not everyone follows forums 24/7 and there are better channels of communication with me, like e-mail or my board, where the fundraiser was held. Had anyone asked me about what the game was, especially any of the donators, I would have told them, probably even before the goal was met, but nobody asked me. Eh...
