Home consoles have one generation left??... BLASPHEMY!!!

    Consoles wont die off until there's no were left to go with them. When consoles can run games that are indistinguishable from real life on a screen running at 120fps in 8k resolution, then maybe it'll happen. Then again maybe they'll evolve into some sort of VR boxes as things like the Oculus Rift, omnidirectional treadmills, Galvanic Vestibular Stimulation, etc. all improve.

    But unless the whole industry really fucks up at some point, they're not going anywhere for a long time.

    I could actually see Consoles regressing, but not just die like that for me.

    I kinda agree with the statement but I don't think it's gonna happen. First the market for cellphone/tablet I think are for different class of people. Due to that, the market for console system can shrink, and with the costs of making "Triple A" games still rising, that actually might force developers to lower or simplify the graphical prowess of their games to streamline costs. I think this is also the reason the indie community could be getting a good boost right now, not because they're classics but more like they need a whole lot less expense to make a game.
