So I want to play Sonic Wings 3 in Tate to get the full resolution, but I dont want to rotate my TV. I intend to play the game like a horizontal shooter instead, like R Type. However the game doesnt give you an option to rotate the mapping on the controller, it stays normal while excepting you to rotate your TV. Is there a way to do it with the Action Replay 4M cart, can I just change the controls with a code or something?

I want to change the digipad from this

    ⬅️..❌..➡️

    to this

I'm sure you could. But you could rewire a controller faster than you could type the code in, let alone create it.

not really, it takes probably only 4 codes I think, who are saved forever. Plus I dont want to sacrifice a controller and constantly plug- and unplugging it when it could be easier with a cheatcode.

It's very unlikely it could be done with 4 codes and less likely you could create them. There's no need to "sacrifice" a controller if you make it switchable. I understand the allure of just using a few codes but that's not going to happen and modding a controller is a quick and easy solution that would only require a few cheap parts and a little knowledge of how they work.

Are you saying you think changing the position of one dialog box is more complicated than changing all the input processing of 4-8 possible directional values in an entire game?
