The only thing "good" about clones like the SNES clones is that they can poop out new ones all the time and they do play the original cartridges. SNES clones apparently have less problems but NES clones and Genesis clones tend to have some serious issues. One thing all clones tend to lack is the original AV port. While you might think having an S-Video jack on your SNES clone is cool, I see it as lazy and stupid. There already is an S-Video cable. It works just fine. But more importantly, where's my RGB? Not that I'd be using a clone system anyway. Same with Genesis, I doubt there are any clones of it that feature RGB. And the model 3 Genesis isn't a clone as it was licensed and likely had the hardware support of Sega.

exactly. it's NOT easy to find adapters specifically between american snes and super famicom.

most adapters are intended for the pal snes, as made clear by their extra lockout pins.

you just have to make the cartridge slot wider like with the genesis. get a file and spend a few minutes doing it. o_O and not all SNES's turned yellow, obviously if your'e buying one in this day and age you'll see it prior and be able to tell. lol...seriously dude.

He means it's much easier and better looking to cut down the tabs from American SNES, then widen the entire slot opening that Super Famicom involves.

Because they usually suck in sound, graphic display, controllers, and overall build quality. On the exterior some look nice, but they still suck in every other department (Firecore, NEX, Flashback)
