HOW could I have missed being the crazed Beatles freak I am NOT know that Brian Epstein (their manage)was gay and that You got to hide your love away was about him? Makes me wonder what else I don't know.....

I feel like I need to turn in my Beatles fan card for not knowing that.

and yes, go buy Beatles Rock Band....it rules even though half way through story everyone SHOULD hate each other but in game land everyone is happy. Also Tug of war should have had a Yoko mode where she shows up and fucks everything up.

With luck my Beatles Rockband will arrive from the states today. It's been sitting in Osaka for 2 fucking days. that really pisses me off when it got from the US to Japan in 1 day yet those pricks in customs can't get it to me in two days.

There were several allergations at the time that he and Lennon were lovers.

So what if he was gay, I have known that for a while, and it maybe looks like the suicide was not a suicide after all. And him and Lennon being lovers.. well that makes Lennon bisexual, doesn't it ? Well I could be so cheeky and write, "well I knew something was queer about Lennon ;)" and then leave and everything would falling and being thrown in my direction. But I do not do such things, cause I really like The Beatles.

Oh in other news Did any one know that Alan Turing was gay ? And committed suicide after he had been found guilty in having sex with another man, and Turing got medically castrated after the trial, and that is the reason why Turing ate an apple with cyanide with it ?

    http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/1132035_campaign_to_win_official_apology_for_alan_turing

Talking about double standards , eh ? So what do I want to say ? well I say treat people for whom they are, not what sexuality they have.

oh well it looks like the tosser Gordon Brown has said "sorry mate we fucked you up back then, sadly we can´t do it again cause you are already dead".

So to me he is only trying to get sympathy in the UK with that apology.

It's so much that he was gay was that I didn't KNOW he was gay. I felt that being the huge Beatles fan I am I should know these things.

I knew Turing was gay from a stupid protester sign I stumbled on in my internet journeys.

I do not understand the relevance of this thread except that Yakumo needs his Rockband.

Neo Beatle mania has hit and I being the biggest fan did not know a huge fact about their manager and thus am ashamed...hence it's in off topic.

*desperate attempt to get thread on topic*

I didn't know "Let It Be" was actually written about Paul McCartney's mother.

Yeah, I was startled when I first heard Bryan Epstein was gay.

If you look at the White Album, you can see a photo strip on the bottom-left with pictures of Bryan Epstein, one of which has PINK scribbling on it... The pink question mark is quite telling, but this was after I found that out about Bryan. Also, I figure most people at the time the album released didn't really see it that way.

Oh yeah, so I got the game. It's FAB. No stores in my area did midnight launches. WEAK. I made it to my Gamestop 2.5 hours early just to be the first one and I waited until 10am to get the disc. (while studying a textbook to kill time) Only one other person showed up and she was there to pick the game up for her son. I played it with my dad later that day while my mom watched.. with only a guitar in my hands and a mic for him, we played "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and it was a trip because he saw The Beatles play the same song on TV forty-five years ago. Mom watched and enjoyed the show (in color and "performed" by her husband and son). SCREAMING FANGIRLS make it all the more real and enjoyable. Just yesterday, I invited a friend over and we swapped guitar+mic and mic. Lemme tell you.. vocal harmonies are awesome. You don't have just one person dedicated to singing -- now up to three people with instruments or just mics alone can sing together. It's awesome. Sing the lead together or split up the vocals. It's up to you.

Now, just today, FedEX dropped off my Rock Band 2 special edition set.. extra guitar and mic and also much needed drums. I now have the full setup for TBRB. "A splendid time is guaranteed for all." With that, I'm hitting the story mode today.

    CONSPIRACYYYYYYYY

I'll stick to listening to The Beatles instead of reading The Beatles, and definitely not playing The Beatles.

Musicians have tried for years to replicate the opening chord of Hard Days Night but non have been unable to do so with the original arrangement of; Lennon's 6 string, Macca's 4 string base and Harrison's 12 string (thingy). It was a big mystery how it was done.
Recently some maths proffesor somewhere, after spending a lot of time looking at the mathamatics of the chord, has discovered that it is impossible to play the chord without an underlaying track from a piano, thus concluding that the piano was used on the track for just that 1 chord at the very begining.

    Did you know that?
