I want to use Xbox 360 neighborhood, but i feel like i risk PNET bricking the XDK as you need the XDK connected to the network. How do i use Neighborhood without risk of bricking the XDK?

You don't set up the XDK to use the internet (like xbox live or anything). You just need to hook it up via ethernet and run the 360 Neighborhood program on your pc. It will ask for your Xboxs local ip (which gets displayed on the top of the screen when the xdk is connected via ethernet) and then once you enter it your set. Just dont try to go out of your way to try to connect to things like PNET.

The XDK shouldnt automatically try to connect to anything unless you tell it to.

I disable the game-side connection. Or you can just put manual DNS.

yea just use a local account, thats it and if it ever asks about going online(which it does in the retail dash) just say no.
neighborhood is all local so nothing needs to be changed.

No need to mess with DNS or anything at all.
