Yup, we're still filling Wii preorders. Nintendo's UK distributor isn't keeping us informed of when the next batch are coming in. We've had 3 batches so far, I think. The best we get is "maybe by the end of next week". They don't even tell us how many we'll get. Oh, and they changed the rules and basically dishonoured their online ordering system, so we didn't get as many allocated as we wanted!

I, of course, got mine on release day having preordered well in advance. I have a spare now, too - any takers? ;) heh.

As for DS, they were impossible to get pretty much nationwide before Christmas. The first order came in last week of pink units, and I think we have one left. We also got our first second hand unit for the past two months or so last week.

Its still sold out here in most places, but if you look around you can find some on the shelf here and there. Maybe just not in the FIRST store you look. If i'd want one i could go get one anytime.

New Zealand - It has never really been Nintendo here, except from when it comes to their handhelds, GB, GBC, GBA, etc. Usually I hear of people talking PS2 and Xbox, in fact, walk into any second hand store, and if they have a games section, you won't see any NES games, you'll see Master System ones. And there's no Super Nintendo games either, it's MegaDrive instead, although they're quite rare here anyway.

DS did / is doing well, but I still hear and see more people talking about / using PSP's. But, amazingly, the Wii has been doing pretty well. A recent national "What console do you want for Christmas" poll had the Wii way above even PSP and the Xbox 360. Which really surprised me.

But I've noticed that the average gamer here isn't very smart. They talk about Resident Evil 4 on PS2 as if it's the god of games without even a clue of the superior version available on GameCube.
