How I got my DSP-1 installed and working.

I installed the original parts for someone and it didnt work on a 1.3 either. Refitting the parts to the original cart - still works.

Doing the 7.6-8mhz osc way worked fine though, so id suggest doing that.

update: Removing the chips is the exact same procedure if you have an electric range. It's really a great way to cleanly remove them.

All 3 is needed only if you have a v1 of Super ED board. v2 and on only needs the DSP chip, it doesn't need the inverter or clock anymore.

Though something similar may have already been posted, I managed to get the DSP1 chip off a Pilotwings cart very easily by tying a weight to the chip and using a heat gun to heat the contacts on the opposite side. Removing the DSP1 with this method took only a minute or two. Soldered it to the Everdrive and all DSP games now work perfectly.

 

Hi, @AtariBorn. I'm trying to upgrade China Version with DSP-1. I already have a donor with the three chips, but I've seen, in my board, there aren't capacitors and resistors (needed?) around them in the tracks. Could you say me what type of capacitors and resistors are needed, please?
