GSL Heavy Industries has provided it`s first customer with extreme satisfaction today rayer: Feel the Magic XX/XY Just watched the video on http://www.sega.com/games/game_temp.php?game=feelthemagic How is it that they always seem to come up with stuff that is so different and on a quite regular basis. :smt023 Shame they couldn`t market a great machine :smt022
Well..a lot of people say Feel the magic XX XY is the only original DS launch title. Looking at the rest Im inclined to agree.
I know that this may sound a bit Fan boyish but to be honest without Sega we wouldn't have half the stuff we do now. Yakumo
all true... See, this whole sega multiformat thing is really working... and allowing guys like sonic team to really make their ideas happen. )
You know this is a very odd game, you its very inovative, reminds me alot of wario ware, im definetly picking this up when i get a ds. It's nice to see some fresh ideas come out.
Eh, I honestly don't know. XX/XY seems a bit...freaky. Although, I will say this: porting 2 year old games to other consoles just to fill a gap isn't too innovative, if you ask me (Sonic Mega Collection, Super Monkey Ball, etc). Eh, only thing going for sega right now is Phantasy Star Universe...
lol, what are you talking about yakumo? that avatar is by far the best avatar i've ever seen "lum chan was better but u made me take it off " btw, where is that avatar from? a tv show?. Yeah,... sega rulz, that game looks awsom... but why didnt they keep the same friggin name?
Imho, Nintendo is more innovative than Sega. Probably outnumbered here, but that's just me. I like Sega too though. :smt045 :smt045 I might pick this game up. More interested in Mario 64 DS though. Never have played Super Mario 64, so this is the perfect excuse I suppose. :smt083
This isn't a true Sonic Team project; it's from the former UGA who were absorbed into ST awhile back.
I think Nintendo makes good games, but they're not exactly the pinnacle of innovation. They ALWAYS do Mario and Zelda through the teeth, and things like Pikmin which are brillian, and innovative, are few and far between. Sega's a company that abaondoned some very popular franchises during the DC in the name of innovation.
wow, I must say this looks VERY cool and interesting :smt023 I hope it's all in-game footage, and not a movie that's made in the style of the game, I really like the transitions and the music (and do they say "Rub it" or the Engrish equivalent of "Love it" ? :smt042 )
Yeah I would have to agree that Sega is far more innovative and adventuruous than nintendo but this is what cost them the right to make hardware, abandoning their big franchises during the life of the dreamcast was a great move for innovation(Shenmue and Jet Set are still two of the greatest games ever made and one paved the way for the new GTA:SA and the other pioneered Cel shading) and should have won them this generations console war but the massmarket just didn't get it.(Bunch of narrowminded fuckers.)This is yet another example of what makes Sega the greatest third party publisher with capcom following closely behind. As long as Sega is allowed to stay creative and express their ideas under Sammy Sega holdings the industry will always benefit from their expertise.Nintendo is too business like these days and shits itself with anything non franchise.(AND YES I DO HATE the pokemon craze now, it's old and tired!!) I really wish Sega and nintendo would team together for the next generation, it really would make the two companies stronger and get nintendo out of this in house rut it semms to be stuck in.I'm very dissapointed in Nintendo these days, they really seem to be going backwards instead of forwards.
I`d love to see the rest of that....looks like some kind of show being performed...like Disney on Ice!
Hmm? What article do you speak of? I don't read IGN, they speak through their ass too much. :-D Pikmin is a brilliant game, I must say. I also say Nintendo hasn't been terribly innovative this generation, what with Mario Party 6 coming soon, and a bunch of rehashes of N64 titles. :smt009
first i would ike to say that i love ninty and sega, but i think nintendo is innovative than sega. i don't say SEGA isn't inovative , not at all but in nintendo invented so much for the video game universe, i mean: - they've started the adventure type of game (with zelda) - they changed the 4-ways joystick to a cross - they've made the zapper - they started the 3d-stick - they've started the first video game console internet ''community'' on the 64 dd - they where the first compagny to show a 4 controller ports console - they've started the rumble feature with the rumble pack - they started the voice recognizion in video games (EY you, pickachu!) - they've started the real first video game console mascot - they did the Virtual boy (one of the most innovative video game system ever ,imo) - they started the handheld market - they revolutionized the gaming industry with mario 64 and zelda:OOT - they created the ''conectivity'' and his ancestor, with the n64 transfer pak (ok, conectivity is more or less bullshit, but that's still an inovation) - they created the L and R buttons on a controller - they are about to lunch a handheld console with wi-fi internet capabilities , touch screen options , double screens and voice recgnition built-in and this isn't the end. i don't say SEGA isn't inovative , not at all. like yakumo said, if it wasn't of sega we wouldn't be here. this is totally true, but i think that if it wasn't of nintendo , we wouldn't be here at all too. but if sega and nintendo innovated like this , its simply because nintendo had sega and sega had nintendo, you know? ;-)
woops, that's true, sorry. but still, the n64 was the first system to really make games for four players. anyway, i still think nintendo have more innovations (that's my opinion) , but stil think sega is a preey good inovator.
