that cheeky offspring from sega, what do you all reckon a good price for one is, both boxed and unboxed, also what about the mega jet

as i was thinking prehaps should insure my stuff hehe so need some ideas of how much there worth

Not sure the exact value, but when on eBay Nomads usually go for 80+ unboxed. Boxed, they usually go for 100+. Not sure about the Mega Jet though, as I've never heard of one until you joined the board. Sorry about that.

 

ASSEMbler has a page about the Mega Jet. Think of it as a Nomad with no screen. The Mega Jets go for quite a bit more, though I haven't priced them in a while. *HUGS NOMAD*

 

my mega jet is mint in box i must add and nomad not boxed but comes with battery holder for 6 Triple A and also the rechargeable battery pack which is boxed o and also a spare screen in a jiffy bag, alos mint

Not certain on the value, but one thing you should keep in mind when insuring is that the insurance value of an item is the amount of money needed to replace the item in a reasonable amount of time. This mean that you need to add anywhere from 10% to 20% (or more depending on scarcity) to the actual value to get the insurance value.

 

ok so prehaps shold be asking how rare are nomad and megajets then ?

 

I want a Nomad, but i always forget about it when i actually have money.

 

mega jets have been common on ebay, but the lowest ive seen then go is $60 boxed, but they usually go for more, so id say hold on to it.

 

the nomad i way too overpriced on ebay, i wouldn't personnally pay more than 50 buck for one
mint, boxed and complete. As for the megajet, i know it worth alot, but i don't know exactly how much.

 

mod a nice active matrix LCD into that nomad and I'll give ya $50 :]

True, sad, story: A friend of mine has a Nomad, MIB that never gets played (I'm the only one who ever touches it) and he won't sell it to me because he knows how much its worth (though he would have never known how much it's worth without me).
