There are also a few specific DVD drive's for use with the PC which you can modify (the firmware), so that they can read/rip original XBOX 1 and X360 discs. I'm sure with some Googling you can find which specific type you need.
since a Xbox 360 retail can run Xbox 1 discs if dvd drive firmware modified can it be possible to run Xbox 1 emulators if put on blank discs and runs as like a backup type?
so the easiest way to play the kiosk disc will be to buy a retail xbox 360 with the grey kosk box you can find on ebay right?
I'm curious, what can you do with a kiosk unit console? Just runs only game demos through discs or Hard drive only?
I may be wrong or off topic, but unless you have changed it to be so, Xbox 360 Dev Kits do not have DVD keys matching between the DVD drives and the CPU. What this means is that any (retail) disk signed with the Microsoft (retail) encryption will not be read or understood by the Dev Kit. I'm not sure, but I think if you do the KK exploit and run xell, then you can find your DVD key and flash that to any DVD drive to spoof it, I know this would work on retails, but not sure with Devs. Easiest way to go would be to simply flash a spare drive (benQ) or Samsung, preferably benQ) with the 0800 ripping firmware. You can google for more info.
