Hi everyone, I have some bootleg Famicom games (multi pack/game, like 100 in 1), and there's some oddities on them. Such as Angry Birds, Plants vs Zombies, and a few other wacky games. I can't find all of the roms online, so I'd like to dump them. Is there hardware to do this? Is it cheap? If not, I may need to make a donation thread eventually for it. Thanks guys Bonus points to anyone who can show me how/what product to dump GB games as well
Probably the easiest and cheapest method is to get the "INL Retro" from infinitneslives: http://www.infiniteneslives.com/aux3.php One thing you need to watch out for is that a lot of those pirate multicarts have unique mappers, and hence require special code for dumping. I'm not aware of anything is current production that will dump GB games (the GBA stuff won't work because it's designed for 3.3V carts) - so you need to find old hardware like Bung's GB Exchanger or the GB PC Linker.
I've found that I can do GBA carts with a DS flash card, GB carts with an arduino, and both with this: http://www.bennvenn.com/ForSale.htm
Interesting! I've been looking into ways that I could backup my cartridge games for a while now. Anyone here has any experience with the beenvenn cart dumpers? Edit: I found my own answer after digging a bit. He does offer a model with this option. I decided to remove the picture and question about the device.
