How to remove the harddrive from a sidecar ?

Any info for the above. It looks like its screwed from the inside ?

 

First you need to remove the sidecar from the unit. Than there are two clips holding the case of the sidecar. When you get it out you can unscrew the hdd from the board.

Iv found the 2 clips on the sidecar. I got one out but the other does not want to pop out. Im trying to do it with it still wired to the console.

Iv got it apart but the harddrive board is stuck to another board. Do i just pull them apart ?

 

yeah there are 2 big ass black connectors, in the middle section of the board, on each side, bend the metal case just a hair so you can get your fingers on either side of the top board, provideed the screws are taken out (there isnt any hidden screws) itll take a good little tug then come apart, pull it strait up so the connectors dont bend.
simple and you will realize how easy it is after you do it

 

there is always a little cable that connects the board on one endm be care ful of that! i leave it connected just disconnect and open it like a book
