Incredible has a different touchscreen setup compared to desire/nexus one. The hard differance gives the incredible much better multi-touch abilities. I'll post the engadget link n vid tomorrow.
I agree but most people don't really like the form factor/weight. It's more like a linux MID with GSM functions, and I love it
So I finally bought the Desire, what a great phone! really loving all the apps and freedom.. only downside of multitasking is all these apps stay active and drain the battery. But besides that it's really amazing fast and goodlooking. Didn't go for the 3GS due to it being too much the same as my previously owned 3G 8gb.. and it just wouldnt really feel like a new phone, but a small update. Sadly my 3G died.
Congrats on your choice. I voted for the HTC, tipping the votes in its favour;p The multitasking "problem" isn't really a problem. Just close applications you don't use. You're in the power seat! Also, what did your 3G die of? Did it have too much to drink..?
Sounds like you already want the HTC phone. iPhone is overrated, but it is good. The worst thing about the iPhone is the battery life. It is ridiculously short. I have to have mine in 2G mode if I want it to last a day with Outlook sync'ed.
Maybe it's to do with how you use yours. I have bluetooth enabled all the time but only have Wi-Fi when I'm home to use the home network otherwise turn it off. Sure I don't call that much - about dozen calls a day and again dozen SMS between myself and missus. Mine last just short of 48 hours before I get below 20% read bar...
Like I said, I have it syning with Exchange. I don't use WIFI and I don't take many calls on it. I guess the mail functionality drains it badly - I get 1.5 days in 2G mode (it's a 3GS handset).
Mine tried to swim the whole night, while on and people calling it  When after I left it to dry for a week I opened it up and found burn marks everywhere..
Mine was on and stayed on had a bit of a pail screen in on corner but other wise no major issue just dried it in the heater vent on my van for 50 min. The only long term effects is the GPS isn't as precise.
