I don't like fighting games, or so I'm told

LOL the amount of rage, so much rage!

I play fighting games here and there but I honestly don't spend all day trying to master them. Only one I've really tried was DOA games, majority of fighting games piss me off.

 

You mean dodging? Why would someone call that "L cancelling" when it already has a name? Fighting game fans man, I'm tellin' ya

 

dodging is not L-canceling. You tap L, R or Z when landing to decrease recovery time. It was part of the Smash 64 and Smash Melee's design (sakurai stated in interviews) and was removed in brawl.

You're already on the internet - instead of posting stuff out of your ass open a new tab and google something first.

 

Chill dude, I'm just hasslin' ya I played the hell out out of Melee, so I know about the ability to do a quick recovery landing. Man, who knew fighting game fans were so combative?

 

That's what fighting games are all about, dude. Beating the shit out of your opponent.

Funny story: I used to play fighting games with a girl I knew, and I would always let her win, because I liked her. I could have easily pulverized her (she wasn't very good), but I didn't because I wanted to be nice. And... that's pretty much the whole story. She moved away to Kansas, I think, and I haven't seen her since.
