i hate ebay and funimation....

    So, i was selling the original japanese games for the super famicom on ebay, but i just checked today and the items were taken down and i got this little msg:

    Dear evangelion-o1,

    Thank you for your recent listing on eBay. Unfortunately, we removed the following item(s):

    8289696987 - DBZ Dragon Ball Z Super Butoden 3 "Super Famicom" mint
    8289696581 - DBZ Dragon Ball Z Super Butoden 2 "Super Famicom" mint


    because FUNimation Productions, Ltd. reported it to us for violating their intellectual property rights. When eBay is notified by a rights owner of an intellectual property rights infringement, eBay must remove the item in order to meet certain legal requirements.

    The following information may help explain the reason for your listing(s) removal:

    What The Fuck? is illegal to sell japanese stuff once is licensed in the us or what?

    No, it is not illegal as long as the item was an original, legal item in the country of origin and the item itself is not illegal for any other reason. This is a monopolistic tactic employed by just about every entertainment company (falsely claiming that out of region items are illegal) in order to make more money by selling localized, region specific items. For them to have ebay remove a perfectly legal auction is illegal (third party interference with a contract).

    Good luck trying to get them to respond or finding someone to enforce the law though.

    Just don't list it as import. Just label it as rare DBZ game for Japanese SNES. They can't tell the difference I tell ya!

    Ebay will pull items if a company requests so. It doesnt matter legal or illegal.
