Why won't they just lay down and die already?

Lets talk about the Mary Kate and Ashley shit on PS2 then, shall we? How about the hordes of Disney games on all the consoles? KISS pinball on PS1? Sonic Pinball on Megadrive? The point is that every console has its fair share of shite games, Nintendo's included. One more doesn't mean they should lay down and die...

But none of those games made a great difference! Games for the DS are lacking and Nintendo whos meant to be a top games creator seem to be wasting their time with rehash after rehash if not of a game then of a character. . . I mean have your mario game and so on but come up with something new... Like sega did many times on the DC.

The game will sell more because Samus is on the front of it. In the same way that RE4 is going to PS2 because it will sell more there. Both instances are business decisions, nothing more.

Good game, but not good enough to be one of those memorable franchises, I'm afraid.

I think Nintendo is going nuts.

I would not be surprised to see stuff like Zelda Soccer or Metroid Tennis soon. :smt045 :smt042

ONE new franchise is not enough! Let Miyamoto sleep a couple of nights in the small woods, maybe he come op with a new idea! ;-)

  11. Right, lets all be honest here, we all know what games there are gonna be on the Revolution (or whatever it ends up as):

Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart, Metroid, Starfox, Smash Bros. etc..

All the brands we've had since the NES/SNES days will be rehashed by Nintendo, yet again. However, Nintendo manage their brands in strange ways: no N64 Metroid, but the GC doesn't get a Pilotwings :smt022

Now, up until N64, I had no reason to complain. Everything up to and including N64 was revolutionary in some way, but GC hasn't managed that. The only thing that could stand out for the Revolution is this ruomoured controller with gyroscope built in. It sounds pretty odd, but Nintendo have a knack of making odd things work (well, sometimes). They need something/someone to inject that wonderful 'Nintendo Magic' back into things, set the company straight and get back to making the best videogames ever, like they used to.

Nintendo have 2 last chances to convince me they still have the magic: the new Zelda on GC and the Mario launch title for the new machine. If these are the 2 finest games ever, since Mario64/SMW and Zelda64/OoT then i'll start believing in them again.

First reports of UK/Eur DS' with dead pixels are rolling in.

God love Nintendo, they are equal with every region when it comes to being a cheap arse!

i think ninty lost their magic a long time ago, when they started to place mario everywhere and cancel any true mario 64 sequel on the 64. two spin-off is far enough, keep mario rpg (and\or paper mario) and mario kart and kill the others dammit!

it's just too anoying, they pump all their characters from the old days into spin-offs and don't want to open their eyes on the fact that they are being rediculous and everyone's waiting for true sequels to their character's adventure AND new series.

the question isn't if they will do a Metroid soccer game or not, but when...

I hate how you cant find a goddamn GC resident evil game for less than 80 fucking dollars on ebay. I've got RE 4 and RE 0, but I'd like to go back and play the old ones on the GC without having to pay out the ass. Apparently the ports got jacked up in price for some magical reason.

amazon has copies of RE2 for $129. From what I can tell, RE2, RE3, and RE: CVX are the hardest to find at a reasonable price for the GC. The remake of the first seems pretty cheap, which is odd, considering they actually upgraded it instead of porting, which is what they did with the rest.

I'd buy PAL, but how would I play them in my GC?

You'd have problems playing the PAL ones. Well, it's not really worth it. You can boot 'em with the freeloader, but then you've got other problems...

Just buy them for the DC. They are the same game as the GC one (the GC ones are ported from the DC ones) and are a heck of a lot cheaper.

And no, the games really aren't that rare tbh. Supply and demand.
