I was expecting a package with some GT itens from Japan. A friend of Madroms posted it on December 17th. On December 21st, the tracking service says it went out to be delivered to me, but returned because there wasn't anyone at home (i was!). Then on December 24th, it went out to be delivered again, but the package simply dissapeared. On the tracking info it shows: 09:20 Out to delivery 09:50 Contact the Post, plus the telephone number. I contacted the damn post, and they said is either lost or stolen (They don't know?!) and i had to fill a complaint form and may have to wait for 30 days, so it can be checked! All this using EMS International! I'm so angry, you wouldn't believe. I'm gonna sue the bastards and i'll never use the Brazilian Post again. I'll pay high prices and taxes, but for now on only UPS, FEDEX or anything like that. PS: Sorry the rant, but i can't believe they don't know where's the package!
Went to the post office just now, and they finally answered what happened. Someone stole the delivery van. After some phone calls, i got the police report through fax and i'm now starting the legal procedures to receive the insurance + value declared. I'm also gonna go to the consumer rights office so i can sue the Mail company (Correios), since they posted they tried to delivery on December 21st and say there wasn't anyone at home, which is a lie. What a way to end the year... I'm starting to re-think if collecting is really worth it, after all this. It's the third time this happened, and i'm really OH: One thing is sure though. I'll never buy or ask for anything overseas ever again.
Once I bought a bundle from UK. It got stolen. Using Correos. But I still use them, and still buy overseas, most sellers over there are fucking speculators selling games with Hard Off stickers that say 100 En for 25€, and UPS, DHL, MRW, etc, are even WORSE.
It could be worst dude, I know from a guy who sended a PC to some relatives in argentina, and they got it without any of the internal parts. Then they went to the post office for an explanation and the people there told them it was already like that! Apparently is very common for the national post there to steal stuff and then play it dumb...
Now i just received an e-mail basicly saying that for me to receive the compensation, the sender must fill a complaint in Japan, for something that was stolen in Brazil. WTF?! I asked Madroms to contact his friend, but this is getting tiring...
No probs Johnny, I will ask my friend if and how he can do that. That's really sucks hard. I am also angry as we took a lot of time to find some great stuff for you at affordable price, just for them to be stolen at the end. We will do the maximum we can to help you. Edit: msg sent to my friend.
Yep... We have been talking through e-mail for almost two months. We did found lots of cool GT stuff on Yahoo auction. I know you'll do everything to help. I created this post just as a escape valve, since i'm so angry. I'm not even thinking about money, i'm so angry these stuff got stolen and the Correios doesn't seem to care. Everytime i contacted them, seemed like i was just being annoying. That's why i'll sue them. The Consumer Protection Office re-opens on January 7th, and i'll be the first one at the line to make a complaint and start the steps to sue the bastards.
Damn, sorry to hear that... this indeed isn't the first time, I remember that Dex Drive I tried to send you. Gee, what the hell would a random thieving post worker do with a Dex Drive?
Yep, that was the first time. The 2nd one was the Killzone Beta LeGit sent to me. That never arrived either. This time, i had the tracking code and everything just to make sure nothing wrong would happen. Madroms and his friend are being very helpful to me (even not being their fault). His friend will fill a complaint in Japan (since the stupid Correios say the package is responsability of the sender till it arrives to the person who is being sent to - which is a complete nonsense) and i'll start a complaint in the consumer rights office, because they are lying about their try to deliver on December 21st. Plus the police report says the delivery van contained 78 packages, but the steal was only reported on December 26th! Even if Madroms friend receives his compensation money and if i win any money for sueing the Correios, i won't be satisfied. The package contained rare stuff like GT2000 Demo Disc, GTConcept Airtrek Demo Disc, GT4 Prius Trial Disc, GT4 Preview Disc, GT4 Prologue Special DVD cover, GT Taikenbahn (First GT1 Demo Disc), plus not so rare things: GTHD Bluray Disc and GT5 Prologue poster. Anyway, this simply killed any fun or joy i had to collect GT or any other gaming stuff. Everytime something cool is sent to me, it never arrives. Like i said before i'm re-thinking if it's really worth it to collect anything.
Good news (finally). Just received an e-mail from Madroms saying that his contact received the money back from the japanese postal office. Money from the postage and value declared that is, almost the whole money spent. Got to praise the japanese postal. I'm posting here more to thank Madroms for all his help. This was the first time we did a trade, and he proved to be a very friendly and honest person. It's nice to know we can still count on people like that, specially when it's miles and miles away. When all this trouble started, i was glad to know the stuff i sent him arrived fine. From my side, the damn mail simply don't answer my e-mails anymore, so i wasn't going the wrong way when i filled a complaint against them at the consumer rights office and filed a sue action too.
Thanks for the positive feedbacks Johnny:thumbsup: I hope you will also get something on your side. As I told you by e-mail, we will be ready, probably in some days, to track some new GT stuff for you;-)
