I modded my psone ac adapter.

The entire point of the mod was to keep my psone ac adapter from taking up 3 sockets on my power strip. I realize why sony did this was save on the cost of production ,but this makes the ac adapter a massive wall wart. Anyhow has any else done something like this?

But my way was fun (aside from having to find some scrap plastic to fill in the top half).

 

Wait... can't you use a PS2 Slim adapter on the PS1 slim? Wouldn't that make the cords pretty much identical to what you did?

yes, ps2 slim and psone psu are interchangeable

 

Well made thing difficult on myself. Damn.

 

Not all, psone uses 7.5V, ps2 uses 8.5V
It's not a big deal, but psone can be more suscettible to overheating.
And we must don't forget that the psone has the worst design in the power alimentation stage
