I need a joke translated into the French language.

Hi all, one of my friends is interested in having the French version of this joke or at least this joke translated .

Ok here goes the joke.

Mr: Excuse me miss, do you speak English ? (the French version is of course French here)

Miss: yes

Mr: how much ?

50 Euros.


He knows the joke in German, so he doesn´t need a german version.

But if anyone knows it in Spanish, then make it in Spanish (or any other language, as long you aren´t jerking me off).


And yes I know the joke is a dirty one. But anyway can you help me ?

 

Mr: Excusez-moi madame, parlez-vous Francais?

Miss: Oui.

Mr: Combien? (I think, I havn't taken French since grade 8)

Miss: Cinquante Euro.



Probably not a perfect translation, but hey, my French is poor at best.

 

At least it is a start

 

The only bit I'm not too sure about is Combien. A native French speaker will probably come and find other mistakes though.

 

I believe in Spanish it would be:

Mr.: Pardon senorita, se habla Espanol?
Miss: Si.
Mr.: Quanto?
Miss: Cinquenta Euros. (or "siete cien y ochenta Pesos")

 

The translation is correct, you should put "mademoiselle" instead of "madame" though.

In Denmark I guess, cause it doesn't make any sense to me...

 

I think it's a play on words. How much (of the English language) do you speak vs how much (to get you to speak English). So I'm not sure if 'combien' would translate sufficiently well for the former interpretation...

Edit: *notices the dirty joke comment* Oh, and there's also the implied 'How much (to do naughty things)', I guess...

 

limey: it is how much (from the mans point of view in the "English" language how much she speaks), but at the same time it has the dirty meaning in the sense of much it cost. The third possible meaning is what else she can say other than the "yes". 50 dollars/euros and so forth.

Just like the monk who goes to town at a Friday, and one of the women says "hey monk what about a blowjob ? 20 dollars !". And the monk has no clue what a blowjob, and he finally asks the mother superior(of a neighbouring cloister) "blessed mother superior, what is a blowjob ?"

And she answers "20 dollars , just as in town !"

But the first joke is one I have been asked to get translated into French, because he does know it German, but he doesn´t know it in French.

 

Ok, I get it, then the french translation only reflects the dirty joke, not the play on words, and I don't think it's possible to translate it correctly.

 

Does anyone else know a "language version, that plays on words other than the English and the German, and the Danish version ? But basically, I have completed my assignment he put me on, now I am just looking for more versions of that joke, I would love to know the version in Swedish and Dutch and other languages, my tounge can figure out of how to pronounce the words.

 

Mr.: Perdone, señorita. ¿Habla Español?
Miss: Sí.
Mr.: ¿Cuánto?
Miss: Cincuenta Euros. (or "setecientos ochenta Pesos")

The last original part ("siete cien y ochenta Pesos") kind of mixes spanish words with the french structure for numbers. Let's try an italian version:

Mr.: Scusi, signorina, parla italiano?
Miss: Si
Mr.: Quanto?
Miss: Cinquanta euro.

I hope I still remember some of my italian.

 

You know, I spent some minutes thinking of other things, along with what is posted here... and suddenly I had some sort of moment of realisation. It kind of went on something like this:

" ... OH, I finally get the joke! ... I think."

Did any of you guys find the joke hard to understand at first, or am I really that innocent?

It doesn't make sense to me any more though ^^" Over here, people keep saying "french" (respectively "Franzoesisch") for blowjobs, not German. Is that different in other languages?

I think we take it as that b/c France is seen as the land of love... L'amour toujours, tu sais? Oui oui... heheheh XD

XerdoPwerko: Well, I wanted the joke translated, so whether the joke was dirty or not was not the reason, and by the way. He had been nagging me about getting the joke translated, and since the joke is dirty. Then I am quite happy that is translated by now.
