and I'm plotting what to fill it with. Even after I replace my Broken consoles there's still a few feet of space that I can use for a few other systems, I'll be getting one of these soonish http://pi-tendo.com/ultimate.html Got a Saturn, 2 Dreamcasts and N64, I'll be adding a PS4 and YES a Wii U.

part of me is thinking Consolized MVS another part of me, is thinking PC Engine duo.

For sake of conversation if you were in my position what would you fill the free space up with.

MVS and PCE Duo are certainly high up on the list, unless you still need a Mega Drive and NES.

Maybe an Amiga or Atari ST, but I've heard they're a better machine to collect for in the UK than North America.

Depends. If you have the space, put a JAMMA arcade cab in there. You can get an MVS 1 Slot that has a standard JAMMA connector if needed. Also, here is a tip on the consolized MVS systems: build it yourself. It will save you close to $300. You can build a supergun that uses Neo Geo controllers for about $60 if you use RGBS for video.

AV modded Famicom and ever drive

I was told that on Facebook. It's very tempting.

Don't go for an AV modded Famicom, get it with the NESRGB instead. You get Composite video, S-Video, and RGBS with that board.

I was gonna go for the Consolized MVS systems people sell online for $600 when I read how cheap it was to build one yourself. If you do use the 1-Slot with a standard JAMMA connector, you can use that same supergun on other arcade machines that use JAMMA.

I barely have enough room for Neo Carts (Honestly I was probably going to get a 161 in 1 and a few cheap ones) Let alone Jamma PCBs. But yeah I'm super tempted to just make the Jump into the Neo Geo.

I looked into the RGBS board, seems like a good solution.

I'm still thinking about upscalers since the Framiester is out of my budget but older DVDO upscalers seem to do the trick.

Definitely PC Engine, imho. Unless you really hate shooters... or really love fighters, in which case go for the Neo Geo.

    ASSEMBLER YUNO FM Towns.

Seriously I'd totally get one if I could find one.

I REALLY love Shooters and fighters.

I would probably also fit in a PS2.
The fact that it has the most games of any console and is backwards compatible will give you a huge library of games that you could play.

For a forum with the tag line "home of the obscure" I'm not getting too many obscure answers.

    There we go

I have a PS2 that I either need to repair or replace. Same with the Gamecube and XBOX.

Casio Loopy is too casual. Get a Funtech Super A'Can. And for a portable, I would recommend a Tapwave Zodiac 2

The price for that A'Can seems very reasonable to me. Cheaper than a brand new Xbox One or PS4.

Wonder if it's a case of somebody not knowing what they have?

This being Assembler games, I'm more surprised you weren't yet told to just get another Sega Saturn.

I'd almost say a Sharp X68000, but even putting the usual prices aside you'd probably have a hard time even finding one. I'd also support a consolized MVS. The NeoGeo simply had some of the best games ever (mostly fighting but I've heard good things about shmups on it too).

Actually the A'can auction is about market rate, perhaps a little pricey. There are loads of NOS systems out there. The games are the pain to find these days. Not worth getting though, pure and utter shite based on my experience of 10 of the 12 released titles.

If you go FMT (or Marty), enjoy! Incredible system, lots of great (but often pricey) games too.

    68k is beast too hah!

As for not getting obscure answers...

Aside from being a little confused as to whether you want us to consider "If you were me" per title or "if you were in my position" per post (which although sounding similar, generally mean very different things...assume I am you / assume I am still me but in your situation), you're hardly projecting an interest in the obscure by listing

    "Saturn, 2 Dreamcasts and N64, I'll be adding a PS4 and YES a Wii U.
part of me is thinking Consolized MVS another part of me, is thinking PC Engine duo."

So, if I were you, something Xbox, for balance.

If I were in your situation (unlikely as I can ALWAYS find room for something I am convinced I need lol), some obscure British 80's computer, or a 4th Navi Saturn.

    LOL

I looked on Ebay I think I'll have to go to Japan to actually get one.

I want to stockpile Saturns like nuclear weapons. The one I have is a US Model with Oval buttons so it's an early one.

There are some truly amazing shmups on the NeoGeo and I think somebody ported Ironclad from the CD over to the MVS. I gotta get on that.

You know I had no idea what to title this thread actually that's why there's the confusion also had no idea how to strike this up as a conversation. Although you're right, if you were in my position sounds better. Given my former reputation........ were me implies "Fill hard drive with roms"

Anyways, The only things hooked up now are my 360 which I never turn on any more (need about 3 more shmups for it so maybe it'll get turned on again) and my PS3. I do need to replace my XBOX Classic (that needs to catch on) and other consoles from that gen (See thread I made about that)

The FM Towns and 69k are holy grails for me. The 90s arcadenes is strong on those machines.

Apparently the only viable place to find one is Yahoo! Auctions Japan, so yeah, you'd either need to go to Japan yourself or have a middleman in Japan to get it for you and in turn ship it out to you for an extra fee. Either way, you'd be forking over a shitton of money for one.
