Cool. Awesome links man. I have been looking for Jaguar stuff lately you just helped me out alot. Also Jay, are the 2 JaguarII board out there the same? Or are they two different prototypes? Tobad theres only two...be cool if some one could mod it a bit and possibly make a "Jaguar III" hehe. "The OpenSource 128bit Jaguar, Made by fans" heh. Seems like all the killer systems are the ones that get cancelled. Know what I mean?

 

I think they're slightly different. One of the beta Oberon chips also had an internal short between the power and ground pins, IIRC

 

The boards themselves are slightly different. My proto doesn't have the correct Oberon chip. I sent it to Glenn and it is indeed a fully functional proto, but it needs that custom chip to run. Curt Vendel has the other one and his runs but gets hot pretty fast. Word is someone out there has another Oberon, but prying it out of their hands is going to be more than difficult. Lots of potential on the Jaguar II. It would have really been quite a system!

 

Indeed the system specs for a system in 1995-96 would be amazing. Imagine how it would have changed the console market is the Jaguar II, 3DO M2 and so on where released? That would be a cool thing to think of hehe.
