As many of you know already, Steve Irwin died in a freak accident when a stingray spun an pierced his heart with it's stinger. Even though what he did was dangerous, and some say possibly foolish at times, he lived his life with no limits and that alone deserves respect. Someone explain to me why Saddamn Hussain is watching TV, relaxing and eating doritos while the "Crocodile hunter" is dead?
Sadam will die eventualy, everyone knows Doritos are bad for humans Jokes aside, I feel sorry for the Croc Hunter's family. Many condolences to them.
I wish his family the best of luck. At least he went out in what is probably the most beautiful place in the whole world. I wish I had a better picture from when I was there, but the xrays destroyed most of them... I took this picture off the coast of Cairns in Australia, probably within a few miles of where Steve was killed :| RIP
This last picture could easily be Greece. I would love to make the trip to Japan and Australia someday, being a big fan of both videos games and wild life/evolution
You can't say that you didn't see it coming, but then it is probably better to live a short, happy life than a long, miserable one.
Actually you could, at least in the case of a Sting Ray killing him. He is only the 17th person recorded to ever be killed by a Sting Ray
The guy was deifnetly amazing, the way he died though was so tragic. I never expected him to go out like that.
Is it true that his wife doesn't even know yet? If so, that sucks. And when exactly did he die, yesterday?
Na, she knew. She was off somewhere else (Tazmania I believe with the kids maybe) and had to fly back to queensland I think
stingray is normally very shy creature but this was freak accident. after wrapping the day's filming he saw a school of large stingray swimming near the boat - he was filming the pilot episodes for the show hosted by his daughter and was living on the boat for last couple of weeks filming - he decided to swim with them and took some footage. apparently out of blue one of large stingray spun and pierces his chest with its barb. If it was other part of his body he's survived but the barb went straight into his chest the venom injected almost directly into his heart he had no chance. (big stingray can swing the barb and impale it into the wooden boat, it's that powerful.) he maybe one of mad individuals but his sheer enthusiasm could literally rub off anyone who'd ever meet him in person... sadly we lost someone nature put into on this planet to look after the nature and maybe it was his time to depart this world. at least he died doing what he loved the most... personally I've never met him but was told by mates that he was the same on or off the camera an his enthusiasm towards the life itself was one of thing people should remember him by...
Steve Irwin was deifnetly amazing in spanish is 2 name of the stingray in spanish is pescado de diablo (fish of devil)
Never heard that version. In Mexican Spanish it's "Mantarraya" (you know, like Manta-Ray?) And yeah, it's extremely unlikely to be killed by one.
California's seaworld has a whole pond full of em where u can feel them etc, but their stings are cut-off, although they re tiny compared to the wild ones.
Yeah, I thought this was just a rumor when I first heard it. That's too bad, I really liked his show. At least he went doing something he loved. You gotta hand it to the guy, he dodged death from crocodiles, poisionous snakes and other dangerous animals for years.
He was always cheating death. I liked his shows, I thought they were pretty interesting. Its a shame he left a wife and kids alone. He will be missed.
It's always sad when someone leaes the land of the living, RIP Steve I bet your seeing all kinds of animals now.
