If he knows how to mess with an *.rdt editor, I guess he could switch backgrounds (he doesn't even need to change hitboxes and perspective!) easily to fake'em, and to de-texture John/Kendo's model to a bare minimum as seen on the curator beta. Honestly I don't know...

 

IT'S ALWAYS THIS FREAKING BULLSHIT, I HAVE IT BUT I'LL RELEASE IT WHEN IT'S FIXED, GODDAMIT YOU'RE NOT SHINJI MIKAMI AND YOU DON'T HAVE THE SOURCE CODE AND THE PROGRAMMING TEAM, JUST RELEASE IT AS IS, IN THE END HE WON'T RELEASE THE FIXED AND THE UNFIXED GAME. You know what they say, If something sounds too good too be true it probably is. I want to keep an open mind though and see this through, I'm not saying it's fake because I have no proof; I'd LOVE to see this happen.

 

Reminds me of this guy on SegaAge who said he had a Shenmue prototype for Saturn but was "fixing" it first. lol

I don't see why his screenshots are all over the place in quality though, I know they're new shots, but why would you a) post some at thumbnail sizes, 2) throw a bunch of blurry filters all over it

I have my doubts, but you never know.

But come on, I know people would be anxious to play this prototype and see all the content there is but some of us are content with having the prototype released AS IS for backup purposes. Why not release now and fix later?

But I guess I can't complain since he isn't bothering to milk people for money with it. Still, I hope that if it is the real deal, I hope the original will be released as well.

 

Hope the same, we should not forget the bang bang busters and treasure of the caribbean ended up for the neogeo. No released only a fixed version that leaves doubts about if an original rom ever existed.

 

Fingers crossed for the original dump as well, assuming this turns out to be true.
