Info about Resident Evil 1.5

im sure its set during the outbreak in Raccoon, then as you play it catches up with number 2

 

My understanding is that the FMV sequences for Biohazard 2 had yet to be implemented when "version 1.5" was cancelled, though I doubt many changes - if any - were made as doing so would have proved costly and perhaps delayed the game's release even further... come to think of it, don't a few of the clips even feature an early Leon design for this very reason? Also, isn't the absence of Ada Wong in these videos due to her design only being finalised very late into the development process? I seem to recall that she was still known as Linda until new scenario writing team Flagship conceived stronger links to the original Biohazard by reworking her into Umbrella scientist John's partner, whose name was used as a password for the laboratory's security computer (to be fair, this was an improvement, at least tying up the loose end as to the identity of and relationship between these two otherwise mysterious people in the Resident Evil world).

 

I thought Linda was misread kana for her name? Same for Roy incorrectly called as DJ.

 

Up until the chapel in RE3 happened before RE2, then once RE2 finished, Jill woke up and then latter part of RE3 happened.

 

Nah. Only Roy/DJ was a mistake of such nature (amazing how it took ages before it was even noticed). The name Linda, however, appears on all the old concept art where names for the characters were written on the artwork (best known would be the drawing showing the game's full cast).

 

I'm a little curious, was there every any in-game footage of Roy? We've all seen the concept art but it's been a while since I've gone through all those low res photos the owner of the legendary Bioflames was able to get from the Japanese contact

Oh wow!!! I never even knew Roy's model existed! Thanks man, a real treat to see, is there any indication of what's going on in this scene? The background is clearly unfinished, the picture doesn't say much at all.

 

I guess Roy is wounded/bitten by a zombie, and it's just a test map to see how they could program it with proper dialog and animations. I guess. Maybe it's kinda the "Leon, you have to shoot me in the head... if you don't, I'll become one of them..." Marvin scene.

 

Apparently if I remember correctly, I read in bioflames (I think) that Roy is in the radio room or interrogation room.

 

Perhaps you would have gotten his body armor from him?

Sorry to perhaps go offtopic but do you happen to be MartinBiohazard who is changing all those backgrounds and boundaries on RE2 PC with youtube videos? If so your work is incredible dude! Please for the love of god release it in one big RAR file when you can

 

Was that from the more complete game that Inflames was shown years back? Wonder what room it could be, somewhere in the RPD I would guess.

 

Right now i'm watching again the PSM Video and i noticed that the zombies when they walk they sounds like a typewriter

Btw that photo of Roy came from the latest build if i remember correctly

 

Haha a typewriter, yeah and the chomping on the neck sounds awful too, but I guess, it does sound like skin chewing more or less.

As was stated before, Roy was defiantly in Marvin's place with the RE2 final we got. Looks identical (movements/animation) and obviously would go the same way, injured cop.

 

Talking about typewriters, are there any shots of 1.5 typewriters?
