Info about Resident Evil 1.5

Everything between Mr. Zork and I are fine now. You didn't get to see all the emails, so you don't have a good idea of what is going on. Mr. Zork is a very busy man, and with that very stressed, but is working around the clock to bring all of us somthing truly worth waiting for... and all of this stupid FAKE/REAL/FAKE/REAL bullshit.

I have a question or questions, which I have yet to see addressed. My question/s pertain entirely to the modded version that will be released (the 80 or 100% build) and not the original. How will I play it? Will the download be an ISO file that I have to burn? Do I purchase a Playstation 1 system and do I need to do anything to it to get it to run the cd-rom I burn? Do I play the game with an PS1 emulator? What are the options? How will people play Resident Evil 1.5 when it is released? What are the specific and exact steps to take in order to be able to use it once it is released?

Well, assuming they are working with the original PS1 version and not doing some weirdo PC-depending voodoo with custom emulators or something and their hacks aren't really shoddy stuff, an educated guess would be that it'd probably work on modded PS1s, PS2s and PS3s + most emulators on various platforms (incl. popstation on CFW or jailbroken PSP, Xperia and Vita systems)

Well that's a great question Jay, and an important one, but I think we should put our personal desires aside and ask an even broader question. What can all of us as a nation do to all play 1.5? Governor Jay, I agree with your methods, I do, BUT I see things a little different here. With my methods in place if i'm President of the United States, WHEN I'M PRESIDENT, I will put strong methods in place that describe the following:

1. EMULTAOR: ePSXe You could use this emultaor on your PC to simply download and load the RESIDENT EVIL 1.5 ISO.

or 2. MODDED PLAYSTATION 1: Rather it's a Debugging Station, or a retail PS1 with a Modchip installed, you should be able to burn your heart out with tons of CD-Rs. You would simply buy a ton of blank CD-Rs from your friendly store, burn the RESIDENT EVIL 1.5 ISO onto one of these, inject in PS1, and PLAY.

NOTE: You can not play this on a regular un-modded retail PlayStation 1. You must either install a mod-chip, or pay a little extra for a PlayStation 1 Debug Kit. (Developer Programming Tool)

We don't need more information. If whoever is involved with the project, or has access to such information, wishes to share it, then do so with the permission of the team. We should respect their wishes. They are working their asses off to provide you with a complete and functional beta, releasing little teasers to keep you interested and entertained and you guys wanna fuck it up over bitchy stuff? Respect the people who are working for this community. They deserve it.

 

Sounds to me like these non-intentional occurrances of information cost their project various deals the same way THIA missed out on stuff in the past due to unwanted leaks of stuff that "needed" to stay under wraps for a little longer for reason A or B. If that's the case; congrats on screwing him and their project over on whatever they lost thanks to the likes of you. Hope your "good intentions" makes you sleep well at night.
