Hi, I bought a green Xbox debug kit and I'd like also to play retail games As long as I've read here http://www.xbins.org/nfo.php?file=xboxnfo974.nfo I have to move 2 files inside the internal HD to add a bios but it is not clear to me how Can I move it with a ftp client on my pc linked to the xbox debug kit with an ethernet cross cable ? Let me know thx Any help is appreciated since the right procedure it is quite not clear Yours, Mak
You could use Xbox Neighborhood to do it I believe. Otherwise, you need to use a debug version of EvoX or any dashboard with FTP support, and FTP the files over.
Neighborhood? where I can get it? I tried right now to connect normally with a crossed ethernet cable the debug xbox to my pc Soon as I connect the xbox to the pc, xp reckonize the console I set in the lan properties the IP and mask I open the xbox connection properties and do the same when I try to test the connection the test fails on the IP test So I added the DNS adress (with the IP's) at this point the IP test go through but stops at the DNS test.. PS= The pc is not connected on internet I don't know if the reason why the test fails is for this reason since the test is basically to go on LIVE Let me know .. Mak
Neighborhood is included with the development kit. I believe some are uploaded here, give it a search. Install it, run neighborhood, connect to the box, and follow the instructions for the hack
Got finally the xdk (5933 wam) installed but I don't see the neighborhood.. but I have installed the minimum installation.. now I install Visual studio and try back to reinstall the xdk and see if it comes out.. Soon as I know something I email you back Thanks MAk
Yeah, the minimal install is fine. Right click on your desktop and install shell extensions (or its in the start menu somewhere as well). Should be listed in the manual if I remember correctly.
DID IT! The install of the shell extensions has created the Xbox logo Had to refix the IP on the xbox and on the pc network card but at the end work perfectly, I moved successfully the files and the debug kit read ANYthing! .. hope to be lucky in the same way with the Katana's GD rom player not working properly! Thanks anyway, your help has been very important! Yours, Mak
Yeah! I tried it today and had a blast Really beautiful! Thx a lot! hope all the best for you guys Mak
