Interest Check: Super Wild Card DX2 & Z64

Discussion in 'The ASSEMblergames Marketplace' started by Benedict_Arnold, Nov 1, 2005.

  1. I've had these two mahcines like new in boxes for some years now. I hardly used either. I meant to keep them for my son to use when he grew up. Now that he grew up, I don't him breaking them so I don't let him use them. (that makes sense huh?)

The Z64 is the 256mb model. Not sure what the Wildcard is. I have two zip drives to go with them (one could be hooked up to a PC and the other I would connect to the wild card instead of using diskettes). I have a crap load of zip disks to go with them too (I would estimate 60 or so, but I could go count them if needed). The zip disks are in great condition. Not sure what's on them so I suggest erasing them and then backing up only the games that you own.

The Z64 connects to the N64. The WildCard DX 2 connects to the SNES.

What should these go for? If only a few dollars ($30 or less) I'll just keep them stashed in my cellar.

100-200 each , depending on how good you can sell. I would like to get the Z64 off you if you want to trade it.

  4. 100 - 200 each including the loads of zip disks? Just curious. Hmm, I might even have a POM 99 T-shirt or mouse pad somewhere (but these are pretty worn). POM was the "Presence of Mind" demo competition that was held two years in a row for the N64 demo scene. I was in charge of making the T-shirt prizes (and we even gave away a Director's Chair with the POM logo).

I would say so, I have been trying to get a z64 off ebay a long time now, but refuse to pay $200-250 for it, that is crazy to me.

If you have the cd add on, then I am interested for sure.

  9. I don't have that CD thingy addon. I know the north american distributor of these. I haven't talked to him in years, but I he might be able to get one (maybe...not sure if these are even made anymore). BTW, you can install a HDD in the external CD-Rom chassis as well which would make it extra cool!

I'll get a pic of the Z64 later tonight and pull out all the zip crap.

  11. I don't know. I haven't talked to him in years. Would people be interested in the CD-Rom attachment? I can email him.

Who would be interested in a DiskDual (external CD-Rom attachment for the Super Wild Card DX2 and you can put in a HDD as well)? I contacted the North American distributor and he's asking how many I would want. He said shipping would be expensive (straight from Asia), but I suppose the more we order the better the price. I'm not sure how much it would be so if you might be interested, please PM me and respond here so I can get a quote.

hm i'd be highly interested but i would have to know how much you want for it after you got them :\

    what about the Z64?

  15. I would want whatever it costs (I'm not in it for the money). I'm having him check the price of two diskduals.

I'm still gauging interest in the Z64.

  16. ONE diskdual would cost $150 which includes shipping to me.

If anyone is interested in a diskdual, please PM me. If you want a diskdual but don't have a super wildcard dx2, i bet I could get those as well brand new.

***I just received a clarifying email that the diskduals are $150 each! Now I think that is expensive and probably isn't worth it (although I still like the harddrive idea).***

Benedict > just wanted to say that I have a diskdual and my personal experience is that they are a waste of money. I got myself a 100mb zip drive instead that I connect to my SW DX2. I thought it was to trouble some to get files over to the harddrive.. and couldn't get the cd-rom to work + it so big to carry around when bring it to a friend ^^

  18. I do have a zip drive for mine. Why would getting files from the harddrive be troublesome? It sounds like it should be easy. Plus you could probably put every ROM created on the harddrive (unlike a zip disk).
