Interesting rumours coming out of EGM

I don't usually post rumours but I thought these were interesting considering that E3 is coming up.

I think it was Ziff Davis it's owner that was going bankrupt but was bought out.
(not fully sure).

 

They (Ziff Davis) are coming out of Chapter 11 I believe.

 

I hope that 3rd parties to make 360s is true. If so we may be able to have a solid unit rather than the shit Microsoft throw together. After all, Microsoft aren't really a hardware manufacture are they. If it is true you can count me in for some 360 action for sure.

Microsoft, like most other console manufacturers don't build any hardware. They merely design it and let contract manufacturers like Flextronics, Wistron, Celestica, etc handle the manufacturing and packaging. People seem to think that companies like Apple build Macs and iPods here in the US, but that's not true either...all of that crap is assembled and built over in China.

Unless third parties had some sort of on premise quality control unit or whatever, I don't see the real benefit to this plan.

 

ASUS make mac laptops, IIRC.

 

I believe someone checked, and it was around 50% of the time they came true.

 

In that case I'm going with the Kratos rumour.
