A modular controller... I think someone at the GIA or EGM did sort of "dream" of that when the PS2 had just come out. I'd try it at least once.

Maybe it has... um... overlays... like the Colecovision and Intellivision?

I'd SO love for a comeback of that...

But seriously, though, maybe it's universal backwards compatibility... but HOW? I don't se multiple ports being cost-effective.

Maybe a new controller that sort of capitulates on all the features of previous controllers... Like.... multiple face buttons, 4 shoulder buttons and dual sticks... and a Gyroscope.
