Is anyone bummed that summer is about to end?

Summer is the best! Where I am, it stays pretty great all year round.

 

I'm not too sad about summer being over. It's been a pretty good summer overall, but I'm ready for a change of pace, both in terms of the weather and other things. I enjoy most seasons, only I'm not very fond of the dead of winter. Winter gets me down sometimes. Fall is nice though, so I'm looking forward to that.

 

Thank goodness the Winter is ending for us (and summer for some of you).

Winter is crazy here nowadays. It's just too cold for my tastes. It wasn't so cold some years ago.

At least I get to laugh at the american students 'cause, sure they get 3 months off and we canadians only get 2, but they go back to school earlier than we do X3(I go back in september(the month of my birthday so at least I have that to look forward to)).

Yep, I'm very happy summer is over. Nice weather is here until November and themn winter but even that is more comfortable than summer IMO.

 

It's been 35C outside for god knows how long.... it's lovely, but I try to avoid that kind of heat unless I am close to a swimming pool, which i never am in Tokyo.

 

I'm looking forward to summer, the icy winds annoy me. I don't mind rain, or overcast sky but cold wind is the worst. I don't like super hot weather but anything is better than winter.
Melbourne is horrible for winter, sunny then within a half an hour or even 10 minutes the weather changes drasticly. I know someone in the US that's always hating the super hot weather, as she's in California.

 

I'm glad it barely started as I really cannot stand the heat. In the summer it is hard to get cool but the winter it is easy to keep warm. Autumn / Winter / Spring FTW, summer FTL!

 

This is strange, but I have actually enjoyed the bits of summer, we have had in Denmark, and as you know I had the best birthday ever during this summer. And in the month of may I met such a great girl too, and other stuff. And heck I have actually quite enjoyed some of the hot days we have had. And that comes from a guy who feels like dying when the temperature hits over 25 degrees Celsius. So I have had a nice summer, and now I am actually looking forward to taking pictures and what not during this autumn.

No it hasn't, it's spring in September.

 

Can barely tell the difference between different seasons here, and it's rained alot this summer, so I don't care much!

Tip if you're still in University;
Enjoy it and make the best of it, cause afterwards you're bound to have alot less spare time, espcially after getting a family, be sure.

Summer is my favorite season, although fall definitely has its charms...fuck winter, though.

 

Winter can be good too, if you have projects and what not in your spare time , and I think I will perhaps have a busy winter depending on this and that.

 

Thinking on it our weather isn't all that bad it's just wildly unpredictable. You'll probably come across here expecting rain and then all of a sudden we'll be getting tropical weather. Me personally I prefer colder temperatures along with shorter days, so Autumn and Winter are perfect for me. Don't get me wrong the sun and the flowers are lovely, I just like the atmosphere better, the falling leaves and the snow, it paints a nice picture and the temperatures are comfortable.

 

I blew out my knee again on the 25th. Dislocated patella. I have a splint on and I'm on crutches atm, but it's a shitty time to do it.

Walked from one room to another and next thing I knew I was in intense pain on the floor. Then went to the toilet afterwards and it went again on the return back.

 

There's something I've always been curious about: there's a sound that appears in a lot of anime that take place in Japan, some type of insect. You usually hear them in anime that take place in the summer. I even heard them in a video you posted a while ago. They sound a lot like cicadas, is that what they are? Are they as widespread as anime make them appear?
